I plugged in this cable into the back of My Panasonic boom box, and it fits tight, and perfect. For those who are looking for a solid U.S. AC cable for this boom box, this accessory cable is perfect for you! I wouldn't rely on the U.S. adapter that comes with the European cord that comes with the boom box because the U.S. adapter is loose while it's connected to the European cable. This U.S. accessory AC power cable will definitely work better for the Panasonic RX-D55GC-K boom box! You will not be disappointed! I can promise you that!

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED
I liked the replacement cord was well described by the provider and it fit perfectly. I arrived two days early too.

I like having the solid one piece cord
Solid cord. The US cord that came with my unit is a foreign plug with a US adapter. It works but I like having the solid one piece cord. I read of a few people who said the adapter jiggled loose at times.

Not necessary to replace standard cord
A little electrical tape on the cable that comes standard solved the problem reported on previous review of the portable radio. Kept it because the cost to return was about the same as the cord's cost.
