Q: Does this include the installation kit and 2 waste cans?

It depends. If the back wall of your cabinet is thinner than 1/2" (13mm), you will need to install furring strips to attach the rear slide bracket. These are not included. If your cabinet back wall is greater than 1/2" than everything is included.

Q: Does this mount only to the back of the cabinet? Does it mount to sides as well? How does it support all that weight?

There are two brackets that mount to the rear of the cabinet, one for each rail. Then the rail is also screwed to the sides of the cabinets near the front. It is a very nice set up but it does require the correct opening size for the rails to be fastened to the sides. As long as the cabinet opening is close, you can use shims to achieve the correct opening measurements.

Q: The opening in our existing cabinet is 14.75"W by 21.25"H by 22.5"D. Will this product fit?

The width of the opening needs to be 15". If it is a face frame, the face could be notched for the slide, but the hole has to be wider than the 14.75" behind the face. The depth of 22.5" would be the absolute minimum there would be no way to reinforce the slide mount at the back of the hole(i.e. putting a 1 x 3 at the back of the hole to mount the slide) if the back is wood it should work. The 21.25 height should be ok. This is just my opinion, I have installed one in my kitchen.
