Great value, brand and software package. Open box provided extra value beating out the competition.
I was looking for a somewhat fast modern NVMe drive to replace a quality Samsung 850 EVO 250gb boot drive in my secondary PC. Went with this due to the open item price being the best compared to lesser brand new items. Item came in a quality clear bag in good condition and no signs of wear/tear. Installed it first into a different PC to test it out a bit before cloning the boot drive over in the secondary PC. Installed the Crucial management software and checked the firmware which was already up to date. Short Smart Test passed but Extended gave me write errors and wouldn't let me run the secure erase option stating I needed the driver first. Installed the driver from the prompt in the software and that resolved both issues. I now was able to run the extended test and it passed. I then copy/pasted about 400GB of game folders over to the 500GB drive and speeds were great from another NVMe drive. Certainly faster than SSD transfer sustained speeds. Next I formatted it and installed it in the secondary PC. I used Acronis to clone the SSD over to it and worked perfectly. It's currently the boot drive on a 7600X/B650/3060ti secondary PC and running great. I've only had the drive 24hrs though so hopefully no longevity issues pop up. For the sub 30 I paid it was a great value for a mid ranged boot drive. The all black color of the drive certainly looks better than many cheap NVMe drives if you have a window on the case.Mine was an open box for a great price about 30% less than retail. It did take 16 days to finally arrive though which I was in no hurry. I wouldn't recommend 250gb/500gb drives for anything other then your Boot drive. Install 2TB or bigger for games and storage. That also allows you to keep your operating system drive smaller for faster back ups onto your storage drive. When the time comes to fix your boot drive due to corruption or a bug the back up image file is much smaller so it recovers quicker and also takes up less storage space. I haven't tried Crucial back up solutions but I'm sure there is something in their software. I prefer Acronis as it comes free with WD drives and works great.

A banger from Crucial, as always!
I've had plenty of SSDs from Crucial over the years and this is no different!Got this one to upgrade my Dell XPS 13 (9310) and it was flawless, no problems using Clonezilla to clone the original drive to the new one via an enclosure.Speeds are as advertised, reliability seems solid and it should be long lasting if my other Crucial drives are any indicator. It is lacking a DRAM cache but that's not as big of a deal these days as it was during the SATA era (in my opinion), and it's a more budget tier drive so I think that's fine, but if you're seeking DRAM cache this won't be the drive for you.

One of the easiest upgrades I've done to reinvigorate an older computer.
This item was to replace and older onboard SATA SSD that came with the now 5 year old computer. The storage was full; Windows and gaming was lagging and required periodic reboots. I knew the motherboard had an additional slot for a next generation NVMe SSD but hadn't done it because I didn't want to have to reinstall everything.Crucial provides the tool, Acronis True Image, to do this easily by cloning my old storage to the new storage. The transfer took about 40 minutes. On first boot, I could tell my system was snappier, more responsive, and now with more available space. I plan on getting another 5 years out of this system.

Amazing Value for the Price
I installed this in my 2023 ASUS ROG G14 about a year ago, and it's been absolutely perfect. It's definitely not a bottleneck for the RTX 4060 / Ryzen 9 7940HS Laptop, as I'm running new games at near-max settings, aside from some new games where hardware raytracing is required, and that's not a storage issue.Side note: I'm also very happy with Crucial's 16GB 4800 mhz NVME5 RAM, which I added to bring my rig to 32GB (only possible on the 2023 ROG G14s and some earlier models, unfortunately!)

For Acer Predator Pro Helios Neo
This was for my Acer Predator Pro Helios Neo and I was tired of having to remove games to play others. This card did the trick with eliminating that process. It was super easy to install, and super easy to format. I don't play at the pro level by any means so any of the extra speeds on the card, I will most likely never see the results of. Shipping was fast and overall, just a great buy.

Bumpy system transfer experience
Perfect fit and function. Though transferring content of original ssd to this device was bumpy. It should be noted that I used software from the original ssd manufacturer successfully to move system and data to this device. This ssd recommended software consistently failed to complete the transfer.
