Read my review for insight to what goes into these.
I got mine from another website in October of 2017 (So we're at the half-year point)I had no dead pixels, however, my biggest complaint is that a few of the leds on the sides that make up the backlighting are slightly brighter, meaning that I have a couple of 0.25 inch spots that appear brighter. This may sound terrible, but it's really not that bad. I play a lot of horror games too, where having a good dark screen is pretty important, and it doesn't bother me. Truth is, in games or watching a movie it's not very noticable, but on a flat solid color (like a webpage) is where I see it most. Honestly, a very small issue for me.This monitor cost me so much less than the equivilant monitor from a major brand. It's even cheaper than a refurbished version of this from the big guys. And the big guys even sometimes have terrible backlight bleed, and 3-5 dead pixels and these are not grounds to get a replacement under warranty from them! So why gamble $950-1200 when you can gamble $400-550?Also, this uses the LG produced AH-IPS panel. The same exact one the big guys use too.The way it works is that LG makes X number of panels for one of the big names.Big name brand paid a premium, and doesn't want to waste their time on sorting out panels, they want "mostly good" shipped to them.So LG tests a few montiors from X number of panels. If they find defects on any of these panels it is a "B-grade batch" and LG doesn't want to waste the time of their biggest direct buyers. So they sell the B-grade far cheaper to people like Crossover, Wasabi, and Catleap. These companies don't mind testing out each panel themselves for the discount, and certainly love the huge discount on the panels. Then they provide their own chassis for the monitors, power supply, etc, and end up selling these monitors at a huge discount compared to the big guys.So to be clear, the panel itself is top-notch.

GREAT CHOICE/ VALUE--> I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR THE PRICE
Love this monitor. I bought mine from another location (paid more than priced here), but overall I am very satisfied with the monitor. Mine DID come w/ more than 3 dead pixels, but they weren't grouped, and were spread out randomly throughout that it didn't distract from the overall image at all. . . actually, I didn't even notice them until I did a test and strained my eyes to hunt for them lol. On to the good about this monitor though, you get a great big monitor with a really solid performing panel. Excellent viewing angles and the refresh rate on this monitor is spot on with advertised speed (capable of 100hz). I noticed a BIG difference with games coming from a 60HZ 4k monitor. I don't want to go back. Very happy with my purchase, and plan to keep this monitor as my main for years to come.(For what it's worth, I paired this monitor with a gtx 1080 Ti SC Black edition from EVGA, never used the FreeSync technology and was very, very pleased with the performance of this monitor)
