Samsung Electronics UN40MU6290 40-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model)

This TV has a beautiful picture and great sound. The TV in my bedroom went out and I needed a new one but much larger so I could watch it without my glasses. I wanted Samsung because I trust the brand but I didn't want to spend over $400. I bought this 40" within my price range with an Amazon gift card I won at work. It arrived yesterday, was easy to set up and it absolutely perfect. The picture is so clear (and large) I feel as if I am in the room with the people on TV. The sound is very good as well. Wonderful purchase.

The range of control available to set up the picture is excellent. However be advised that gives you room to make an inferior looking picture or make an exceptionally beautiful picture; take the time to get it right – it is worth the effort. When making adjustments using the remote it would’ve been helpful if the arrow keys included some sort of tactile feel. While you are looking at the adjustments on the screen you can’t always tell which key you’re pressing and often accidentally exit out of the area that you were trying to adjust.

I have to say I was a little skeptical about the price for this TV, but it was definitely worth it. Best TV I have ever owned. Nice piceture quality that you can adjust, and plenty of ports for all of my gaming systems, as well as being a smart TV so I don’t have to hook up my laptop to stream stuff. Love it. Not to mention it’s light enough to carry under one arm.

I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT!!!!!UPDATE: Now this POS just does crop circles when I try to add back the app I had to delete because it is CRAP CRAP CRAP and continues to lose login details or just dings when I select the app! Going on 10 minutes just going round and round. If they GAVE ME ONE FOR FREE I WOULD NOT TAKE IT. That is how frustrating this tv has been since I bought it. To add to it they have every USELESS app, but NOT The CW. Will never buy another Samsung again!UPDATE: Hate this piece of crap more than ever! Continues to lose login information! Disgusted!UPDATE: STILL will not retain login information! I will not buy from Samsung again. It is too frustrating!Aside from the MOST annoying remote layout in history, this TV has a complete inability to consistently connect to apps. Aside from Netflix, it is beyond frustrating. The most consistent offender is Vudu which I have to log back into on an alarmingly regular basis - at times daily - which is made more frustrating by the remote! As we speak, it is a blank screen because I was going to Amazon Video to stream and it apparently is just not willing to do so. Just a blank screen. Connects to Netflix, but now I can add Amazon to the list of what I can't watch directly. I have NO problem with these apps on other TVs or devices in my home. If I want to use my blu-ray player to access the exact same apps, I can do so but what is the point of buying a 4K TV that you can't even watch 4K on?? Naturally Samsung points to everyone ELSE. It must be the app! It must be my internet! Deleting and reinstalling the apps has not helped. In one case after I deleted Vudu it wouldn't even let me download it for another day!This is my first and last Samsung product. There is no point in buying their products if they won't help when there are issues and the issues are constant.

I have had it for a few weeks it went into a tight older entertainment center where a bigger tv was just not a option. The picture is great. But twice on startup it has failed to sync the picture and showed a scrabled picture. I have turned it off and back on so and it came back up clean. No idea what is happening here...I wonder if it might not handle power outages well even if it is off...but just a guess. Since it did come back up correct I have not pursued it further. But concerned for the long term future of this tv.

I purchased the TV to use as a large computer monitor and I have to say it is GREAT. As a lighting designer I use AutoCAD and LD Assistant and have had no problems. As a side note... when I'm not working on a design I watch TV on the Flat Screen.

This may not NOT a native 120 hz unit, it only sort of tricks it into a form of 120 hz when around 720p, not anywhere near 4K. I tried to set it up as 120 hz on a gaming pc with NVIDIA program and it went blank. I had to reboot with the power button on the PC, which can screw up your Windows OS. Nothing else worked using every option on the TV. The cable (rg6) threaded jack on rear is too close to the back panel, very difficult to screw cable onto tv. Pictures from my laptop look great. Sound is _above average_ for a flat screen tv., and it gets really loud in a 160 ft. room. Watching video on Amazon Prime was quite unimpressive. So was motorcycle racing (jerky and often blurry motion) and Youtube videos with movement such as dancing. "3rd Rock From The Sun" Amazon video made faces looked like they were painted on.This is sad for a 2017 4K TV so far.Maybe results would be better watching just cable tv or discs. The stand is an odd 3 prong deal which is sketchy and hard to install. The instruction paper ain't kidding when it shows 2 people to do it. The part that attaches to the TV must be slipped on at an angle with TV upside down to fit into tab. I did it but highly recommend 2 people. The silly stand adds about 3 lbs. to the weight of the tv too.I guess for $329 from Beach Camera (not their fault I don't think) it's "OK" but just a few more bucks next time will be worth it.

For the size and price of this TV not to mention the security of a big name in electronics, you cant beat it. 120hz refresh rate keeps frames in focus at all times. Great for gaming, sports, and relaxing tv's and movies. Came shipped in the TV box but is signed drop off only. well worth the purchase!
