Incredible watch! Does it All! I can't say enough about it!
This is my third Amazfit watch. I started with the Bip 3, moved up to the original GTR (Great looking watch with great features - was my favorite!). I hesitated to go for the GTR 2 or 3 simply because the GTR was such a great watch - super good battery life, accurate readings, etc. But when the GTR 4 came out, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I've been so pleased with this watch. It's such a step up from my other watches. I love how I can customize my swipe left or right (with a continuous loop, no less) to have my favorite functions - Top widgets, steps, heart rate, Blood O2, music, compass (with altimeter and barometer as well), weather, and the shortcut cards that allow me to add even more functionality at my wrist (Calendar, upcoming alarm, countdown, stopwatch, one-tap measuring, sleep, PAI). I don't use Alexa, but I have used the offline voice control, which works pretty well; but with all the apps right there, I prefer to swipe. I love the membership card feature (bar codes from cards for grocery stores, pharmacy, Red Cross, etc.) and I always feel very "techy" when I scan myself in at the platelet center or the self-checkout. The weather app is accurate with a five-day forecast, and I love the sun and moon feature (helpful for hiking to know the sunrise and sunset times, and to know if I'll have any moonlight at night). The phone app is awesome. It's always nice to take phone calls from my bride when I'm at work or hiking without having to take out my phone. The sound on my end is great and she says the microphone sounds better than my phone! I can use the number pad or my contact list to make calls as well. I also love being able to respond to texts (I get the full message, by the way, not just a line or two) with one of 10 pre-set responses, or even emojis. It's more than a novelty and I really enjoy being able to use it. The workouts are more than I will ever use. Mostly I use walking, climbing (hiking), biking, strength training, indoor biking, and a few others. I wish they had some workouts for when I'm out in the yard raking leaves or chopping wood, but I find other exercises that serve as equivalents. I love all the information the app gives me about workout duration, calories burned recovery time, etc., as well as the little "Hoorays!" for achieving goals, and the suggestions, reminders, and coaching it gives as well. As far as the heart rate, blood 02, and steps, I find those to be very accurate (My vitals are checked twice a month when I give platelets.), so it gives me an good overall picture of my health. The sleep tracking is better than before. My other watches would only measure sleep at night, but since I work nights and sleep during the day, it wasn't as helpful. The GTR 4 measures "naps" so I'm getting a more accurate picture of my sleep. And on the weekends when I switch to sleeping at night, the readings give me a very good general sense of my sleep patterns, and I'm happy with that. What more can I say? There's a calculator, flashlight (decent for what it is), stopwatch, alarms, find my phone, camera remote, stress readings, etc. I love the one-tap measuring. I just hit that button and in 45 seconds get a good overall picture of my health. The music player app works well (a remote control for your phone). I haven't used the music download feature, because I would rather save the memory (lots of memory, by the way) for map data, and I always have my phone with me, so having music on the watch would be redundant for me; but it's a great feature nonetheless. I've also downloaded a bunch of apps from their proprietary app store - games, tip calculators, unit converters, and even navigation apps. No, I don't have detailed topo maps for the watch for hiking, but it does give me some basic functionality in that regard. My hiking, biking, and walking workouts are sent to the app and displayed on my phone. There are a ton of great watch faces, many of which can be customized, all ranging from traditional analog to techy digital styles. Battery life is pretty decent. Even with frequent workouts using GPS, I average about two weeks before I have to charge the watch. In fact, I often forget about it until the 10 percent reminder comes on. The watch is stylish and good-looking, but still tough, well-made, and pretty much perfect for my needs. The buttons and touch screen are very responsive (the main button also rotates to move through the app drawer), the vibration is enough to wake me up from sleeping, I don't go crazy with outdoor workouts, so this is right for my needs. I know Amazfit makes more rugged watches for real adventurers, but they don't have all the features the GTR 4 has, so I'm happy I chose this watch. The Zepp app has gotten even better and has so much information and functionality. I found a lot of helpful videos online to help me with navigating the app; but, in general, I picked up on it pretty quickly, and have used it to customize the watch so it works well for me. Overall, I'm so happy I purchased this watch. Normally, I don't gush this much over a product, but I'm just so please with it. Amazfit makes really good watches that work well, last, and provide so much for the price point (way more, in fact). I highly recommend this product and Amazfit in general. I hope this review has been helpful.

A competent, attractive fitness watch.
Update: I’ve now owned this watch for 3 months. Still doing great. Not a scratch on the face, and I’m pretty rough on my watches. Battery holding strong. I’ve become more attached to this watch than I ever was ti my Apple Watch. Very happy with my purchase. Original review: Let me preface my review with the fact that I’m a iPhone user. I’ve had most revisions of the Apple Watch and I’m not a fan. I think they’re blocky, poorly designed and not masculine. So I’ve tried many different watches over the years with varying success. I loved the Samsung watches until they became incompatible with IOS but their battery life was terrible. So I decided to give this watch a try. I was considering buying their more expensive military fitness watch for $400, but after comparing features and aesthetics, it was hard to justify the extra expense. So let’s talk about this watch. First, it’s shockingly light and has a really big, bright watch face. It’s also very thin. It fits very comfortably on my wrist. I wear my watch upside down so the fact is on the underside of my wrist. As such, the face is much more prone to scratches. I’m happy to report that after more than a month of use, not a single scratch is visible. The watch has a protruding dial button as well as a recessed button, in addition to the touchscreen. I rarely use the recessed button but the crown button is handy, but I wish it didn’t protrude as much. Sometimes when I curl my wrist, it powered off the watch. I’ve made small adjustments when I wear it, and it seeks to have resolved that issue. The watch face is very bright and incredibly responsive. The battery is astonishing. Ilas you set up the watch, it lets you know if you’re selecting an option that drains the battery faster. I’m a power user, so I pretty much have everything maxed out and I still get about 6 days battery life. I was also concerned, as per reviews, that the readings are inaccurate, especially the sleep readings. I’ve found them to be quite accurate. I spent two days with my Apple Watch on one wrist and this watch on the other. The readings were within 1% consistently. I’m pretty sure they’ve resolved many of the issues via upgrades to the watch. I feel this watch gives me much more usable information than does the Apple Watch and I really like the companion app. It is very intuitive and works well with my phone. Overall I’m very happy with this watch. Not only is it a steal for the price, I would choose this over the Apple Watch. Be aware That you cannot receive iMessages on this device. It’s a restriction from Apple and not the fault of this watch. As long as you connect this via Bluetooth, you can carry out most functions between your phone and watch that you would normally expect. My only complaint is I purchased the version with brown Watch band. The band is terrible and cheap. A poor choice considering how nice the watch is. Fortunately there are several cheap alternatives in Amazon so I won’t complain too much. Just be aware you’ll want a different band. You really won’t go wrong buying this watch for features, quality, functionality, aesthetics and price.

I bought an Apple 6 and also this. The Apple 6 stays on the charger. This is one amazing watch if you want to keep an eye on your sleep. It must have close to the masimo level of SPO2 even though it doesn't show it in detail. Apple 6 had masimo tech, but only measured a few times during the sleep. This GTR 4 lasts a week because I turn off notifications. Lovely display but you really have to move your hand to get it to show. It has all the right stuff for exercises and walks (I don't use the GPS). The PAI overall health thing is a nice simple stat and doesn't need you to start stop exercise sessions. Blood oxygen works when it thinks that I am sleeping or resting and shows on a bar chart. It is very close to Masimo... but doesn't measure every second like Masimo. So it will miss hypopnias. But it's deep sleep algorithm is close to an EEG which I use every now and then, but not in detail, but the result. The display is nice...download a new one with more info. My hand was allergic to the band. I got a metal one, magnetic. I love the long battery life. I wear this day and night and it might lose 13% a day.

The battery life is no way near the life advertised. The bluetooth function is pretty average. It lags 5 seconds to not at all if I want to change a song via my watch. You have to connect separately to receive notifications of a call. Most of the time I miss phone calls because of it. The glass used isnt overly great - I've got a couple of scratches in it already and i haven't done anything physical. Given the opportunity again, I wouldnt buy this watch again, pretty disappointing.

Perfect and nice battery life. Not as per advertise but still better that competitors. I am using with 80% options and does last upto 7 to 8 days. Charge is quick again, so need to worry. I have put screen potector sheet for glass protection. Very good product.
