Plug and play. Works great. I was able to digitize my old HS Senior year VHS tape.

I bought two of these. I previously had purchased another one from a different vendor at over twice the price, so I was a little leery of the lower price point. It turns out they are exactly the same.On initial testing, one did not properly sync to the HDMI signal from my Zoom Q8 camera using OBS. I then connected it to a Sony RX-100 MkIII camera and the unit came up perfectly in 1080p/30fps. I swapped back to the Zoom Q8 and the signal was fine. I simply cannot explain why it initially failed.The second one appeared dead when connected to the Zoom Q8, but came right up with the Sony camera. Again, when it was returned to the Q8 it worked perfectly. Since then, both units have continued to work without issue. Latency is low enough at 1080p/30 to be unnoticeable. The only drawback I've found is they do not like to share a USB hub. This isn't an issue for me and I only used them both on the same powered hub for initial testing, but if you're short on USB ports, it may be an issue for you.One other thing, they get warm during operation. I do not recommend leaving them plugged in when not in use.

Read the description carefully, the Captured audio is Mono, from the 1/8" mic-level input jack. No support for SDI Embedded Audio. Other that that, this product offers VERY good video quality. Perfect for interfacing Broadcast equipment, cameras, etc with PC's or Mac. - for applications like Zoom where you need to send Studio Return into the meeting.

The product does not work as stated. I tried using it on three separate laptops and all had the same issue...Jittery video at any frame rate 1080p, 720p, 60Hz, 30Hz...did not matter. All the same result "Fail"
