Overall, the Best SmartWatch I've Found...
Long term user/early adopter of Wear OS smartwatches, and everyone in my family (except me the lone non-Apple holdout) has an Apple Watch. I can definitely say that overall this is the best smartwatch I've used, and, yes, that even includes the Apple Watches.First of all, not even for one second am I going to invest in yet another Wear OS watch. I had a couple of Wear OS 1.0 watches, including one that was upgradeable to Wear OS 2.0, which basically rendered the watch unusable. I then upgraded to a Wear OS 2.0 watch only to have Google and the watch manufacturer just completely abandon the watch and the entire platform. Now Google has come out with Wear OS 3.0 as if they first two completely failed versions never existed, and want me to pay $300-500 for it??? No, thank you! So, I started looking at alternative watches like TicWatch, Garmin, Fitbit, etc., when I came across this AmazFit brand. I was immediately impressed with the features/price ratio. I had just about settled on the AmazFit GTS 4 Mini when I decided to go for the AmazFit GTS 4 instead. The AmazFit GTS 4 does everything and more that I want from a smartwatch. It has far more sports modes, better GPS system, vastly superior battery life, and more accurate bio sensors than any other watch out there I've tried. I've had Wear OS watches that allowed me to initiate as well as fully respond to SMS text messages, and frankly I found the whole process to be cumbersome and almost useless. This watch allows you to receive notifications of incoming texts, and even quick respond with pre-defined custom messages. You can also receive, dismiss, or even answer/talk phone calls. I can also receive (or not) notifications on my watch for every other app on my phone, control YouTube Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and even download music to the watch and use bluetooth headphones/earbuds to listen to it without having my phone nearby. It monitors sleep very accurately, and all the bio sensors seem to be very accurate and reliable. Setting up and configuring the watch was much easier than setting up my Wear OS watches and getting them to work properly, and it was even easier than setting up my family member's Apple Watches. The AmazFit brand is also popular enough that you can get accessories for them, like charging docks, screen protectors/cases, watch bands, etc. -- everything that you can only get for like the Apple Watch, but can't get for the Wear OS watches because Android hardware is so fractured. So far the AmazFit GTS 4 has actually functioned flawlessly and I haven't encountered anything that didn't work or feel like I'm missing any feature(s). Simply put, it's just a great watch, especially if you're using an Android phone. One Week Update: I've now been using this watch for a full week and I still feel the same about it -- simply the best smartwatch I've encountered. In this week I've found even more watch faces and even found an online editor that allows me to create my own custom watch face. I'm running the same or similar faces to my family's Apple Watches, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, etc. My sleep monitoring has been spot on as has my heart BPM. I'm counting steps, miles, and time in multiple apps, and I can definitely say that the AmazFit GTS 4 is as accurate as all of them. It also has identical accuracy to my wife's Apple Watch. The battery life has been superb. I walked all around Disney World for over 12 hours with the watch tracking my steps and heartbeat automatically, but also keeping track of my walking, as well as reading/answering texts, phone calls, etc. throughout the day, and the battery never went below 70%. At the end of the day my phone with its 5,000ah battery only had ~25% charge left. My previous Wear OS watches would've been dead after 6-8 hours of heavy use like that, and my wife's Apple Watch was at ~20% charge at the end of the day. Still absolutely loving this watch!

Fantastic Smartwatch
After wearing this watch for a couple of years I find it just as well made and as useful with all of its features as any of the very expensive watches. When I need another one I will go back to this brand again. They make excellent watches. My battery lasts me anywhere from 5 to 14 days depending on which features I turn on. I owned more expensive watches and their batteries can't come close to this one. I had purchased one for someone a couple of years before I got mine and noticed they were still wearing theirs and completely satisfied.I can make and receive phone calls on this, read texts but I can't write texts but I can send pre-made texts that I can write myself and store them for when I want to send them. It tells how long I've been sleeping, the quality of my sleep, gives my heart rate, my blood oxygen and so many other things too many to list but what it tells you in the description is the truth. Definitely a value for your money. You can hook up Alexa and if you have notifications on you can be notified when your package arrives at your house or alert you it is arriving on that day.I bought a elastic band to put on it and it made it even better. If you're looking for a smart watch this is the one. I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a smartwatch. You don't have to pay that high money to get quality as good if not better.

A mixture of good and bad
Some bugs that need to be worked out but the features are far more advanced than my Fitbit Sense 2. As a senior citizen, the pro’s outweigh the cons and I choose it over my Fitbit Sense. The major issues, for me, is that Amazfit does not count steps unless you are actively swinging your arms and does not recognize that you are standing or walking and will send notifications that you NEED to stand or walk. NOTE: I first received the Amazfit Active. The plastic base and band holders made the watch look cheap. I returned it and purchased the Amazfit GTS 4 in Autumn Brown.Pro's:• Setup was simple. I recommend watching the video on the Amazfit site before you start.• It stays connected to my phone without dropping, even when I'm not close to my phone. I left my phone inside the house and was able to make a call, from my Amazfit watch, while I was outside.• I can make phone calls from the watch as well as receive calls and text. At my age, I view this as a safety feature! Programing my contact phone numbers into the watch was also simple.• It has a voice feature that activates with wrist movement. Great tool if your arms are full. Example: Say “Open Phone” and it will open the phone app without you physically touching the screen.• I can view all my stats without ever opening the phone app. I was also able to setup my preference for the stats that I wanted to see.• Connected to Amazon Alexa without a problem, once I added my Alexa logon/password, so I can ask questions as needed rather than opening my phone to Google.• 24-hour monitoring allows me to check my major health concerns real time.• The GTS 4 in Autumn Brown is beautiful! The band itself has watch band connection bars. I had to replace 2 Fitbit Sense 2’s in less that a year because they came unhooked, fell and cracked the screens. The hook and loop, only on the Autumn Brown, has metal adjusters that are easy to adjust and will not fall off even if it comes unhooked.• The battery life is amazing and replacement chargers, for travel or backup, are cheap.• It has many, many more features than I have not tried out.Con's:• The step count is a MAJOR flaw! It only works if you swing your arm while walking. It will not count around the house/work steps or any steps that do not include swinging your arms while stepping. If your arms are full, carrying a tray, a purse, bags, walking with a cane, pushing a cart, ect …IT WILL NOT COUNT THE STEPS. I spent a few hours shopping and had several thousand steps. Amazfit only showed 82 steps because I was pushing a buggy and/or carrying my purse and not swinging my arms.• Another flaw, I was constantly receiving notifications to stand or walk while I actually was standing or walking. I turned off the notifications so I would not receive the inaccurate information.• The GTS 4 is missing the Readiness Score that was part of the much cheaper Amazfit Active.• It does not have a fall detection feature.• There isn’t a direct contact number for Customer Service.
