This Kimble Chase KIMAX Class A volumetric flask has bright green markings. These flasks are also commonly used to help reduce cross-contamination and for easy identification of glassware between labs. They are calibrated to contain. A standard taper ground glass stopper is supplied with each flask. There is a marking spot on the body. The flasks are designed from ASTM Specification E288, Class A requirements. These flasks meet requirements for the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E438, Type I, Class A, Standard Specification for Glass in Laboratory Apparatus and the glass conforms to USP Type I requirements. They are made from 33 expansion borosilicate glass, which has a low coefficient of thermal expansion and very high resistance to chemical attack.
