LOVE THIS KETTLE! It’s beautiful to look at and works beautifully as well. The blue light is nice and bright. Have been using it for a few months with no issues. It takes a couple minutes to really start heating the water, but it gets boiling fairly quickly. It’s easy to clean (especially since it’s transparent and you can see the bottom well).We’ve had another electric kettle from Amazon which broke after about a year of use. This one is superior! Highly recommend!

The first time I used this, I thought it didn't work. That's because I had been used to using a pan and boiling water on the stove for tea, which always took longer than I liked to get to boiling. (You know what they say about a watched pot not boiling.) I had always put the pan of water on the stove and went and did something else for a few minutes. I did the same with this new kettle and when I came back to check on it, it had already turned itself off. It had already finished boiling the water! This rascal is much faster than using the pan and stove, much easier, and much safer with the auto-shutoff as well. It has been working great. It's good looking and the blue color during operation is cool looking as well. I highly recommend this kettle if you're in the market for one.

Bought this after a visit with my son who has the 1.7L. I was immediately in love with the blue illumination and was surprised at how quickly it heats water. Can be used for mammy things other than making hot beverages, such as booking water for pasta. Simple to use and just so pretty.

Sleepy time tea is a crucial part of my families day and this kettle makes life so much easier. One of my favorite purchases. It’s super fast and safe because of the auto shutoff. Plus the light is super cool.

The kettle works great and is fast to boil. Absolutely no problems EXCEPT it stopped working after 2 years. If that is OK with you, this is a great option.

I bought 2 of these, one for my mom and one for me. We both work at different offices and wanted to be able to enjoy hot chocolate at work. Since these kettles are made to boil water, they work great because we can set them up at our desk (the chord is too short to reach my desk, so I have to put it on the floor) and boil water as needed. A 16 oz water bottle fills it up to the minimum line and is the perfect amount for my travel COPCO mug.Unlike the box says, I wouldn't say that it's "faster than a microwave" but it's certainly better, hotter, and a safer alternative. No danger of water boiling out of the cup or of hot spots with this kettle. The water is always boiling hot and it has an automatic shut-off. Once the unit recognizes the water is hot, it shuts off with an audible "click" and the led lighting system shuts off. It's so easy to clean, that if needed I could do it at the office. It's very convenient and my mom and I are loving them.I do always give my hot chocolate several minutes to cool down after preparing it because the water is so boiling hot. If you don't wait, there is a danger of burning your tongue. That can be said for any hot beverage. This kettle certainly removes the travel time it takes to find a place that sells hot chocolate. I can see myself using this product until it breaks and then ordering a new one. I absolutely love it. Just don't drink the leftover boiled water, not a great taste.(Little side note... I hope that Amazon accepts this review because it says I haven't received them yet, when I have? I think someone must've forgot to mark that they delivered the package.)

Great kettle! Works well and fun to watch the bubbles. Easy to clean, and I like being able to see the inside. Have seen other kettles where the interior rusted—no problem here. Have had it now for close to 4 years and it looks as good as new. Realized I needed to write a review because it’s that good!

A very convenient way to remove a worry about burning out a saucepan when boiling water, as I hear most of us have done at any age, but particularly useful when you are your 80s and no longer good at multitasking, or get easily distracted when multitasking (phone rings etc) like me.I learned about this from my kids with whom I was staying, and now in my new apartment have one of my own. The separate single round heating disk that can plug in on any counter with a proper kitchen outlet frees up stove space. I've put mine across the kitchen, which also frees up counter space.But most of all you can set water to boil and freely pop into another room for a minute without worrying that anything will boil dry because it automatically turns off when the water is at boiling. If you are delayed and the water has cooled down somewhat, you can easily turn it on again briefly to the bring the water back to the boil.You can also turn it off manually if you want less than a rolling boil (for coffee for example).
