Lincoln 1340 Lever Action Barrel Pump

I’m using this on a 55 gallon drum and it works great. It pumps a greater volume per stroke than the Chinese knock-offs. The tube is telescoping, and most definitely reaches the bottom of the barrel. As it is in the box, it will be a little stiff and difficult to pull that tube down (dry o-ring), but it will extend. Check all the pivot bolts for the handle. They are all 1/4” hex size. I used Teflon tape on the pipe thread of the telescoping tube, so as to prevent air from being sucked into it and either killing its efficiency or making it lose prime. Also inspect it for manufacturing debris inside tubing. Very minimal if there is. Would buy again, and probably will.

Have had this for about 2 years and works just as good as the first day. Don't waste your time and energy with anything cheaper. You'll end up returning it and using this one. Believe me.

Don’t spend your money on this, my buddy bought the cheap china one, worked perfectly! This one was double the price, leaks out the bottom seal, no parts breakdown, they want you to take to a repair center…. Well oil spill, jeans ruined, should’ve bought China! So sad I must say:(

Received this product earlier than I expected which is definitely a plus. I ordered a grease gun from this same manufacturer because their grease gun was very high quality and I wasn’t disappointed with this item, either. It is very well built and sturdy. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because, I think it would have been very helpful if the product description very CLEARLY stated that, in addition to this pump, you will need a 3 or 4 foot garden hose in order to reach the bottom of the 55 gallon drum. I guess I just assumed that it would come with whatever fittings/attachments/extensions necessary but it doesn’t. So, when ordering this product, be sure to also search for “4 foot garden hose” and select one to your liking and order it at the same time. That way you will be good to go as soon as your stuff arrives, as opposed to ordering the hose AFTER your pump arrives when you find out it actually DOESN’T come with everything necessary to get you started pumping! Other than that, it’s a very nice product and well worth the money.

I have 7, 55 gallon drums of different products in my small shop. This pump works very well with oil based products. The swivel valve at the end really helps to keep the top of the drum clean. I don't use it for products like windshield washer fluid. Plastic pumps work better for that.
