Can the motion sensor be turned off please? How frequently does it need to be charged?

Yes you can choose between motion sensor or manual operation. Charging time is approx. 2 hours which will give around 6.5 hours illumination time (around 1170 activations)

Confused, questions already asked about recharging it appears these are battery operated (3xaaa)? photo/distributor say it's usb which is it?

My model is battery operated only. I have double checked having wondered if I'd missed a usb port. It's still proving useful as a nightlight for elderly parent.

Colour of base part please

The colour of the base is a brownish dark gold. It is nice.

How long does it take to fully charge the rechargeable lamp? And is there an indicator light to tell you ready or low?

Charging time is approx. 2 hours, which will give around 6.5 hours illumination time (about 1170 activations) and the charging indicator will light up red whilst charging and turn green when fully charged.
