Brilliant 😀
Excellent design - functional, practical and effective. Less bright level just right to get around without waking others up (camping, sailing etc), full brightness impressive for size. Well engineered, twist mechanism to switch on / change light levels very practical. Charge lasts ages at low level, easy to recharge.A nice thing.5 stars.

Top tiny torch
Very useful, small and bright enough to sensibly use torch. Easy to charge with the cable provided. No batteries required. All components are attached so doesn’t fall apart when opening it. Holds charge for ages. Handy keyring loop. Lightweight. Good value for money.

Olight i1R 2 Pro is the solution to problems the Olight i1R 2 doesn't really have
I'm a big fan of the Olight i1R 2, so when I saw the i1R 2 Pro on offer, I snapped one up. There were more differences than I expected.Size: The i1R 2 Pro is slightly longer and fatter than the i1R 2. The Pro is almost exactly the same length as an AA battery, but a bit plumper. The i1R 2 is a bit shorter than an AA battery, but about the same diameter. Due to its larger size, some might find the Pro less "fiddly" than the i1R 2, if you're the sort of person who finds some things a bit fiddly or awkward.Charging: While charge cables are provided for both torches, the Pro is charged via USB-C, and the i1R 2 by USB-Micro.Weight: The Pro weighs 0.75oz, the i1R 2 weighs 0.50oz. For comparison, an Amazon rechargeable AA battery weighs 0.95oz.Output: I've uploaded a photo of the two torches side by side on full brightness. The distance from torch to ceiling was approximately 4ft, and the ceiling tiles are 1ft wide. As you can see in the picture, the Pro is slightly brighter than the i1R 2, but when I was taking the picture, there really didn't seem to be much difference in brightness. The low light function seemed much the same for both.Summary: I've bought 3 Olight i1R 2 torches and they are excellent. Two of them have lived unobtrusively on keyrings, not getting in the way but getting battered by my keys, and working on demand. The third, used for this review, was bought when it was on offer on Amazon. i1R 2. Battery life has never been an issue; I never need to charge them, as they are an emergency torch for occasional use and they seem to go on and on for every with occasional use. The i1R 2 Pro is new to me. It offers a little more light and longer battery life but at the penalty of a larger size, 50% extra weight and a higher purchase price.I started this review fully intending to tell you how great the Pro is, how much brighter than the standard i1R 2 it is, and how, for just a few more pounds, you could have a far superior torch. But having tested them side by side, I honestly can't think of a reason to buy the Pro in favour of the standard i1R 2, unless you have a strong preference for USB-C charging. Now I have bought the Pro, I can tell you that I won't be taking an i1R 2 off my keyring to replace it with the Pro, as it will be noticeably bigger and heavier on my keyring. The Olight i1R 2 Pro is a great little torch, but the Olight i1R 2 is smaller, lighter and gives nearly the same light output, though for a shorter duration, which makes it the ideal for use on a keyring. Whatever you decide, hopefully I've given you enough information on both to make an informed buying choice.

Bright
For something so compact this torch really throws out some light. It is robust, good value and piece of mind on a key ring. Looks great, works great, weighs nothing. Definitely recommend.

Compact, light and very bright on full power.
The OLIGHT I1R 2 Pro EOS Keychain Torch (180 Lumens) is surprisingly bright on full power. It packs a brightness punch and the all round quality is excellent. For safety, on the high brightness setting don't shine it in your eyes or anyone elses, it will seriously dazzle close up.There are two brightness settings. Clockwork rotation of the barrel turns the torch on through two brightness settings, which I would describe as low (but very useable) and high (very bright). The instructions state that the battery will last around 20 minutes when using the high brightness setting, and my experience matched this.Used on the lower brightness setting battery life will last a lot longer. It is easy to charge and takes around 1.5 hours to do so. In terms of battery longevity, I don't know how long it will last before it starts losing its charge. I wouldn't think that the internal rechargeable battery is any larger than two LR44 type batteries (the battery compartment is sealed). However, if I am disappointed by the longevity of the rechargeable battery, I will update this review in the future. A very useful and compact keyring torch.

This was worth every penny, keep an eye on the price though
I was suspicious of trying yet another Chinese product, without any history or track record, or even a review, but I liked the idea, which was well explained. They do now, I've bought three, for me and others. It's simple, robust design has a 'twist to reveal' USB C connector. You can choose two modes by twisting too, dim: getting your key in the lock sort of use; bright and I mean really bright, if you wish to light up an entire room, or signal light aircraft. The metal body has shrunk with different versions, which may impact the lifespan, but everybody cuts costs these days. Those I bought them for have similar experiences, finding them useful and bright, with a simple control system. The other day I found my old pen Maglite and compared them. Time has moved on and been very unkind to the Maglite. I wouldn't consider an old style torch now, LED has come so far.A word about the price: it bounces around, here and elsewhere. I've been lucky, buying cheaply (@£15), but they went up a lot (@21), then inflation hit and everyone will have to guess their value for themselves.I find the product worthwhile and hope to spread the word to those who buy torches.

Brilliant torch
Love this torch! Really bright on the high setting and the low setting is great for close up work or if you don’t want to wake people up. Battery has never run out on me and the USB-C charging is great. Great size and fits neatly on a key ring. Can’t fault it at all!
