high quality and very sturdy
I ordered a few doorbell guards to see which one fits best my Eufy E340 model. This one feels very sturdy, slightly flexible, and spacious enough to fit my video doorbell camera. I installed it outside the main entrance to my house on a brick and mortar wall. Note that the top cover slightly obscures field of view (will vary for different doorbell video camera models), so you should test prior to installation.I chose to install this doorbell video camera guard as my prior video doorbell literally crumbled to the touch after many years in the sun. This will protect it more from direct sun exposure and also the rain to some extent.

Great protection from the sun
The cover for the camera is plastic and with the sun it got brittle and broke. Since I could not buy a replacement cover. To protect the camera Leneses this product was perfect and super easy to install.

Well made, great concept but didn’t work for my location.
Didn’t work for my home. It significantly reduced peripheral camera views and with my house facing south I was afraid in the warm weather the black, heavy material would absorb the sun’s rays and bake the camera electronics.

Terrible construction and bad product
Unit had 4 holes, the give you 3 screws. Very flimsy construction. Screws broken when screwing into place. The screw heads broke off easily going into wood trim. Would never recommend, unless you want that trailer park look.

Protects from rain
Our old ring wasn’t protected and was fine, but when I bought an upgraded Ring, I figured it would be good to protect it.It was east to install, just screwed it to my gate. Used a level to make sure to was straight. Took a couple of minutes.We just had lots of rain and the ring camera stayed dry. You can see the cover a bit when you look at the video, but it does not block anything.

Too much interference
Yes it stops the rain but it reduces the field of view on a ring camera 2 nd generation. Quality wise very nice.
