Amazing dog bed. Sturdy and holds both my dogs. They love looking out the window, now they can without having to sit on the back of the sofa. I would say they spend most of their day sat on it. Watching the world go by! 😁

Our miniature dachshund likes the platform however the stairs seem to be a bit of a challenge for him, they have big gaps in them and are a little too hard, he will go up them but not down so is jumping off the platform. Maybe a slope as an alternative would be an idea. A very good quality solid product though.

Bit fiddly to put together.

It is getting increasingly difficult to find durable, sturdy pet steps, they are either sub-par materials, too short, treads and risers too short or too tall, slipping carpet treads, damaged in packing or shipping and other issues. After reading multiple reviews, we settled on choosing the Unipaws Pet Bunk Bed with Steps (medium size) - we have senior kitties who need sturdy, appropriate-sized (h x w x d) steps to reach furniture, beds and their shorter kitty trees, without falling, slipping or experiencing trouble with climbing or descending steps. This checks off the list in every way and then some. It is tall enough to reach a bed with taller mattresses, using the bunk part as the top ledge - and if only using the steps, perfect for reaching sofas and chairs, etc. It was in perfect shape during shipping, all parts were included, we did not have to drill new pilot holes, and by the time it was put together, we knew this is what we had been searching for (my husband has this together in about 35 minutes). It is heavy, sturdy and does not wobble, depending on what surface you place it on - ours is on a low-pile area rug. For heavy or rambunctious pets, you might want to rig a method to secure the bunk with the steps, as with heavy or repeated use, it could move apart from each other and cause a mishap for a pet, especially if placed on a smooth floor like tile or wood/vinyl flooring - it does have tiny plastic bumpers on the bottom of bunk and steps, but they are still capable of slipping and moving on a smooth floor surface. The bunk pad is not as thick and cushiony as I would have preferred but it is nice, fits on the ledge perfectly and can accommodate a smaller blanket or thin fleece pad for extra cushion. The steps have wide carpeted treads, not a super-soft carpet but a ridged/ribbed slightly gripping material, which in theory and practice, is safer for pets to "grip" with paws and claws when climbing or descending the steps without slipping on a smooth carpeted surface (the carpeted treads on this step are very similar to stair carpet-treads used on basement stairs to prevent slipping - a tiny bit abrasive, but miraculously, soft on bare feet and kitty pawpads). They are stapled into the wood steps. Both the steps and risers are size-appropriate for cats and dogs, wide and deeper than most pet steps on the market, the risers are not steep - this helps to resolve the problematic depth-perception and body angles of pets when descending the steps, many pet steps are just too steep, not deep enough, and pets are fearful of using them. These step measurements are perfect. The cat scratching pad fits perfectly on the bunk's lower base, although my cats haven't used it (yet), one could always use it with a pet bed or heavy fluffy blanket. Currently, we are using the steps on another level of the home for the cats to access their new shorter kitty tree, it's a perfect match, as it meets the same height as the first perch on the tree (that kitty tree is also a new purchase, the Prestige Cat Trees Maine Coon Deluxe Cat Perch - in grey, found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DTLWJ5DM )- we were so fortunate both the tree perch and the Unipaws bunk with Steps fit together so nicely, our senior cats have much easier access and use them all day long. I truly could not be more happy with this purchase, the cats feel comfortable and secure on them, and peace of mind for their comfort and safety is a huge plus for us. Love it so much, we just bought a second one for the master bedroom for easier access to the bed. Tip: this is a heavy item, it is at least 70 lbs when shipped, be sure to have assistance getting it in your door and moving it. Once constructed, each piece is fairly easy to move about if you need to move it somewhere else in the home.

Dimensions: We had a hard time finding something tall enough for our windows, and this was one of the only options that reached the height we needed. I also like that the top of it allows enough space for him to lay down comfortably. Assembly: Easy to assemble between my husband and I. Comfort: My dog doesn't like going up these stairs. He asks to be picked up. I think they're just a bit steep. He goes down them independently. He has short legs for context. He likes the cushion at the top. We put a blanket over the insert for the bottom, as it is not comfy cardboard-ish material. Sturdiness: no issues so far. Value: Expensive, yes. However, compared to the quotes we were getting for something custom made, this made way more economical sense. Overall: My dog loves it and is happy that he can spend time looking out the window and go up and down independently. Happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Couldn't find anything tall enough for 29" height to windowsill...until this! Just got it the other day & my 35 lb Max is very comfy on it as he barks at all the passersby! Under 2 hrs to put together with no issues for this middle-aged female. Steps can be picked up & moved to any side as they aren't attached (but are still very sturdy). Max could jump straight to the top but is using the steps just because they are there. Great quality/has some weight to it and I'm just so happy I finally found THE PERFECT window perch! I love my dog but didn't want to compromise with my decor...and this set is just the right size with a neutral colour to match any decor. You cannot go wrong (& I'm very picky)! Oh...and scratch mat on bottom is a bonus for my cat!

Very good quality, easy to assemble, and loved by all of the animals in the house. My dogs use it during the day to stay close when I am working. I purchased an extra set of soft stairs only because we have one dog that refuses to use wooden stairs.
