I have been so long without a controller. I ordered this. You don’t have to do anything but put batteries in it and it works on your TV. Good quality definitely worth the money so if you second-guessing yourself on getting this, I’d say just go for it.!!!!

Other than the “voice” button (that I never used) and not saying “Philips” on the bottom, this remote is the exact same as the factory made one that comes with the Philips smart TV. My factory one started having issues where it stopped working and I’d have to take out one of the batteries for about 20 seconds and put it back in for it to work about 85% of the time. (Sometimes it took several tries of doing that before it worked.) Even then, it would only behave for a short period of time (between 30 minutes to an hour, usually) before I’d have to repeat the process. I saw this remote at a great price and decided to give it a try. It’s just as the description says… it works with the Philips 4K Smart TV right out of the package without any setup or programming! Just put in the 2 AAA batteries (not included) and you’re back in business! What a relief too… I hated doing that process to make the original remote work briefly. Some sites will suggest the One-For-All Smart TV universal remote, but it’s almost 4x as much as this one, and this one truly is the same remote as the factory one with the exception of those 2 differences I noted at the beginning, neither of which are useful features anyway. (Especially the brand name printed on the remote.) Doesn’t get any simpler than this!
