Sturdy and looks good
Sturdy. Nice design, doesn't look clunky, and it appears to be very effective. This was exactly what I was looking for to reinforce our security system on our door. I did have to make some adjustments with my door frame in order to allow for room to for this lock, but that was just my own specific situation with my door. Other than that, this was very easy to install.

Functional and easy to install
Easy to install and works great. I was unlittle unsure if it could lock me out may be moving when I close the door behind me but stays in place when unlocked. Gives me a little extra sense of security with an extra lock on my door.

Very strong security device.
These add-on security devices are easy to operate if installed properly. They are are well crafted and fabricated and tough. Finish is also tough compared to the average. Appearance after installation is noticeable but all such devices are. These particular devices are the most effective that my research uncovered. You must decide what device is best suited to your situation. ( Obviously these are practically useless for a glass panel door.) I am quite satisfied with my selection and installad result. This device provides security against “kick assault” that is beyond the failure resistance of the door capacity, except steel doors in steel frames. If you have a steel door and frame and want more security than the latch and locking device, then you must carefully study the clearance (gap between door edge and frame) since there is no easy solution to locally increasing that gap to fit the plate that must be installed in the gap.If you have a wood frame with a wood door (or a modern composite door) the same gap fit requirements apply. If the gap is too narrow for the plate is very snug, or the plate won’t enter the gap, then chiseling into the frame to sink the plate into the frame. There must be adequate clearance for the door will open and close without hitting or rubbing against the plate. The next step is to snugly arrange the mechanism into the gap with the dark pad is in lock position against the surface of the door face, and fit a space filler (wood sliver, shush kabob skewers, spoon handle, any convenient spacer) between the hing side of the new lock and the trim along the door frame and wall face. This step is crucial as you must determine where the exact location of the drill holes. The device will never exactly abut the door stop. With the door open you can accurately judge where the plate must be located which determines the critical location of the three-in-a-row holes, since you cannot redrill those holes without filling the miss-located holes, then redrilling a very small distance away, including drilling largely into the plug wedged into the mislocated holes. Difficult and annoying fix.I chose 2.5 inch #8 coated deck screws to deeply anchor into the framing stud, and the larger diameter ( from the supplied #6 screws to # 8) for added sheer capacity. My 2.5 inch screw selection was convenient since I had some on hand. If I had 3 inch at hand, I would have used them. If you decide on that choice, it requires using a countersink to enlarge the tapered holes in the plate so that the heads of the #8 screws do not stand above the lock plate. This does require additional work and precision.Once these requirements are met, the lock can be finally installed. All of these recommendations are intended for do-it-yourself installation. If you want to hire an outside installer, you are at the mercy of the installer’s expertise.I truly wish you well in utilizing one of these devices for your additional comfort with your added security.

Love these!
LOVE these. I've used them in a clinic for kids with autism and they've been so useful preventing kids from running outdoors into oncoming traffic. Very useful for toddlers who want to steal snacks from the pantry all day, too! They blend in with our white doors and look good - not an eye sore. Very easy to use.

Works Great – Toddler Can’t Escape Now!
Really like this lock! Super easy to install and now my toddler can’t run outside every time the door opens — huge relief. Feels sturdy and secure. The only minor downside is that the lock was a bit stiff at first, and the swinging motion took a little getting used to. Also, if your door frame isn’t perfectly aligned, you might need to make some slight adjustments.

These are worth it
These might be the most secure lock I’ve ever used. We already have a deadbolt but needed something the toddler couldn’t reach. This is perfect and so sturdy! I’m impressed
