Swig Savvy Glass Water Bottle Wide Mouth Leakproof Lid, Silicone Sleeve, 32 oz (Blue)

I'm a tough guy, I open all the jars, twist off bottle caps, etc. no problem. This one is the only one I have a problem with.The plastic is angled with little surface area so it generates a lot of PSI plus it's hard plastic so it hurts and there's very little friction.That's a bad combo in a lid design resulting in a lid that's hard to open, feels like it wants to cut your hand and is very easy to over tighten. It can be a pain to open and take 30 seconds to open and if you're using it for yoga or sports you literally don't have that kind of time plus it's embarrassing.If you leave the lid loose enough that it opens without incident, any little bump or rub and it'll start to leak. A little silicone gasket and grippy, ergonomic lid design would fix it.The flawed lid design is plastic which isn't what I want in a glass bottle. The bottle is not ergonomic so it gets heavy when filling it, the whole thing combined creates a very made in China feel that leaves me wondering if the glass is lead free (I know Ikea uses lead free but many companies don't).It's glass, the cover is silicone, it holds water. Beyond that it's disappointing but it's the best one I found after searching. Maybe some day I'll find a better one but until I find the time to look this will do.

I loved this water bottle. Bright, made of glass and awesome. Seeing as it's glass, I was being careful with it but alas, not careful enough. I was drinking some water while standing behind a chair (at a dining table). Unfortunately, when I brought the water bottle down, the bottom of the bottle smacked into one of the top posts of the chair. WHAM! Water started gushing everywhere. I ran to the kitchen to let the water drain, then started the tedious task of finding and cleaning up little shards of glass. The rubber cover leaves an unprotected section on the bottom of the glass container. On top of that, the glass there is pretty thin. This is likely to reduce weight. Valid, but I need glass of wine bottle heaviness to make this water bottle thing work.If I can't find a heavier duty glass water bottle - or a better protected one on the bottom, I'll likely be back to get another one of these.

EDIT: Switched to 1-star for bad customer service. They promised to get me a free bottle in return for my review, but I received an empty box and attempts to contact them have taken too long. Don't make promises you can't keep. The bottle is still great, but customer service after sales is severely lacking.I bought this glass water bottle to replace a previous one (also glass) that my girlfriend accidentally broke. As of first impressions, she absolutely loved it, as she finds the glass to be a much higher quality. It's a lighter and thinner glass, which makes it that much easier to handle. And yet, the mouth is made just slightly thicker so it feels comfortable to drink from.The silicon sleeve provides a great grip and protection to the bottle. Its also great that the silicon sleeve is thickened at the base, ensuring that the bottle can withstand accidentally being slammed down (I wouldn't recommend anyone intentionally doing that, still!) Furthermore, it provides whole bottle protection, as opposed to some other brands where the silicon sleeve only covered the middle of the bottle for grip.The previous bottle we had had a design flaw with the cap, having an internal silicon cap seal over the top of an open tube, which meant that it wasn't always airtight and was hard to clean if you wanted to dig the silicon out. This bottle eliminates that, as it has a solid plastic cap, with a silicon ring that is easier to remove and clean.As first impressions go, we definitely love it, and with a lower price compared to other bottles on the market, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bottle to everyone else!

Our family is all about glass water bottles these days. We ordered two of these bottles based on the high reviews. They arrived promptly and in perfect condition. We went with the larger 32 oz bottle and find it is simply too big to carry around. We will keep them though because we have good filtered water that we do like to take with us. So this will be more the refill bottle, not the carry-around-and-drink from bottle. We ordered a smaller bottle for that, but decided to go with a different brand that has a more substantial silicone cover. This one seemingly has a lot of glass exposed, but I haven't dropped it yet so I cannot attest to its sturdiness.

I bought this to take to school and work with me, and I carry it almost everyday. The whole bottle usually lasts me all day (mouth gets dry talking to clients all day, walking around outside in the heat, eating lunch, etc). The bottle sweats a lot, and it doesn't stay cold all day. I had a metal bottle that kept my water cold all day, but after a semester of use, my water started having a metallic taste, and the bottle wasn't dishwasher safe. I bought this bottle because it was glass, and it's dishwasher safe. It's a great bottle for casual use, it looks nice, and it's really sturdy.

I love that this water bottle is glass. I also love the size, color, and price of this water bottle. The glass is thicker than other glass water bottles I have tried which I am hoping means it will be more durable. The twist off top is great, no plastic touches your mouth..The only drawback I can see is that I wish the top was a little wider for easier cleaning. I don't have a dishwasher. Also, not sure if I'll be able to fit ice cubes through the top. Having said that, overall I am very happy with this water bottle and would recommend it to others.

I like glass because I very much dislike drinking out of those stainless steel bottles. I found after a month ( and regular washes) the bottle begins to smell musky and I hate that

La botella es grande y estaba encantado con ella, lo malo es que se me calló al suelo de la mochila y pasó a mejor vida (culpa mia). Por tanto es un muy buen producto, pero solo apto para cuidadosos/as.

Buenos acabados y buenos materiales, pero bastante delicada, se rompe con facilidad

It broke within a week of use when it fell over onto a wood surface. I've had a Starbucks water bottle for years that has never broken. Don't recommend it.
