PERFECT...PROFESSIONAL QUALITY...WORTH EVERY PENNY & COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE.
Received delivery in just a couple days and it is even better than hoped for. Optics/magnification are excellent. The four-way dimmer works great and the light stays exactly where you put it. I am in business, reading microscopic print on a daily basis and also have many hobbies involving close examination. Also work on electronics which takes both hands free and lots of light. This unit delivers the goods. Hope to buy another one soon for my office. Even as a work light this is ideal. With the cover down you can handle it all you want without smudging the glass lens. I had another unit for many years that now costs $200 with slightly longer arms and a circle style fluorescent bulb. This Neatfi light is waaaaay better and it doesn't move around like it's possessed when needed most. There are no springs, bulbs or constant adjustments to deal with. If there was anything that would improve the product it would be having slightly longer arms. However, I have a five foot wide desk at home. The light is clamped on the extreme left side and I work on right. It still almost makes it to the center of where I am sitting. Not bad...not bad at all. I researched the heck out of these and even attempted to fix my old unit...than finally took a chance on this one. Wise decision. The old one is in the trash. This one even has better magnification and clarity than the $200 one. It is also great as a reading light for normal print. Buy it. You will thank me.

Good quality glass, good light output, excellent value
The NeatFi Super LED Magnifying Lamp with 5 diopter lens was easy to assemble. Attach the clamp to your table, slip the arm pivot into the clamp socket, plug in, turn on.The power switch is on the underside of the lamp, which is a minor inconvenience until you learn where it is and can find it in the dark. The multiple brightness levels are fine for using the magnifying lens, and also for most desk illumination needs. It would be nice if it produced a bit more light than the brightest available setting for full tabletop illumination in a dark room. Undoubtedly that will be available in a future version with upgraded LED's that put out twice the light at half the power. (Update: I've been using it in a dark room, and it's plenty bright. Raised to 5 stars, since it I have no other complaints. The light fulfills its mission: it's a fully functional magnifying lamp that is an excellent value).Build quality is adequate. The arm joints are adjustable and support the weight of the lamp with no sagging while maintaining fairly smooth motion. The swivel/joint for the head of the lamp allows you to position the head where you want it, but the motion felt a bit rough when I adjusted its set screw to prevent it from slipping. OK, so this isn't a $500 lamp with fluid motion joints, but it cost a whole lot less than $500. When correctly adjusted, it moves with a bit of pressure, and then stays put. This lamp is a great value if you need a multi-tasker desk lamp/magnifier. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, which was light up my desk AND double as a close work illuminated magnifier for my aging eyes.

Estetician use, very happy
Researched for a month a good mag lamp....was concerned this model would be small viewing....It is not, Its perfect. It comes with a clamp, yet I had a roller base from a previous lamp...fit perfect. Maneuvers easily. Good resistance and secure. Plenty large for viewing, easy to navigate with a good range of movement & tilt. I LOVE It. Really like the levels of brightness I can adjust. Super easy with just a click to raise levels. Happy I did not buy the larger version. Like the dust cover on the glass, no way is it in the way. For what I paid, this baby rocks!!! Paid much more for my previous lamp that was sub par to this model!!

Great lamp/magnifier
I like everything about this lamp /magnifier. But I can see room for improvement. The arm is strong, stable and even at full extension it stays where you put it.The lights are bright enough and the side glare is minimal but it’s not a problem at all since you’re always looking through the middle. The magnifying glass is very good. The dust hood is a nice touch - as is the inclusion of the dust cloth. The only improvements I’d like to make are to... make the lens bigger both in diameter and in magnification power. In its current form, for maximum clarity the lens needs to be about 8 inches from your work. I’ve bumped into the lamp with the tip of a tool while adding fine details on a model at least 50 times. You can pull the lamp back but the magnification gets so exaggerated that it’s hard to see well. Youre so zoomed into the tiny details of your piece that you loose things or knock them over. With a little more magnification built into the lens itself rather than relying on the optical exaggeration from greater distance, you would have more working area with better clarity and this would be one awesome tool. As it is, it’s very good.

Perfect for fine needlework, crafts and intricate repairs.
This puts the light exactly where you need it. The magnifying option works great for tiny stitches in embroidery and crewel work. The clamp is secure and the ability to adjust the angle and height of the light is a great feature. This is the second one we've purchased. The first one my husband uses for repairing antique clocks and working on pre-war Lionel trains that need repair. A great purchase!

for reading it may be ok but on a scroll saw its not safe-----I should have returned it--
I have three other mag. lights and they are all easy to see through without glare or changing the viewing -----this one is built ok but my problem with it is that if you move your head back or forward the magnification changes therefore making it not suitable for mounting to my scroll saw and safely seeing the blade ------it may be a learning curve for me but when cutting on the scroll saw and using a mag. glass and light it is just not safe to use-------so I unfortunately have not been able to use for the intended use on the saw--------I need one that the magnification does not change if you move your head a tiny bit--------
