Absolutely yes. The material is light and thin but very resilient and strong. I’ve used this bag (4 of them actually) to travel all over the world. Negligible intrinsic weight and really easy to stuff multiple bags in the boot of a rental car or taxi.

Can this be used for hand luggage ?

I agree with other replies that it is better for hold luggage.What is good is that you can pack it into your hand luggage if you think you might only need a hold bag just one way.We did this on our last trip to Spain as we were taking some stuff out for our holiday home and previously as we were bringing extra stuff back..
