Is the electronic speed control (esc) included? the specifications say it is but everyone in the comments say it isnt.

Yes it is. Its a tamiya one that works with brushless or brushed. The car comes with a 380 motor brushed. I recommend you grab a 540 brushed tamiya tuned sport motor as it vastly improves performance. Also ,read the instructions with the esc and do the else up process. It's easy , but vital. It's a great car.

the Tamiya Grasshopper comes in kit form . don't be put off by this as it comes with clear to understand instructions and is very easy to assemble.

Hi, might sound silly question but will this run on grass ok or have you a different rc that would work better?

To be totally honest, not really this type of buggy is best for sand or a dirt type track if you want a rc for grass look up tamiya lunch box or monster beetle

What do I have to add to this KIT to run it ?

You need a radio system (handset, receiver, steering servo), 7.2v battery, charger and Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) - none of these are included with the kit.
