Q: Has anyone read anything about the health dangers of eating food smoked with this sort of gun?

Smoked food has been around "since prehistory" (according to wikipedia) as a way of preserving meat, this is more for adding the smoky flavour to food and not for preservation but uses woodchips similar to those used in modern smoking processes. I would imagine it is no more or less dangerous than eating smoked ham or smoked bacon etc.

Never tried it, but as it has a blower it might be to heady ;-)

You May add smoke flavour to the fish before cooking (grill, oven or pan) but it Can’t substitute cold or varm smoking (you may do the latter in your Weber grill, but leave the first to proffesionals)
