Walden Farms 340g Caramel Dip

Really disgusting caramel dip, has a good caramel flavour but there is such a tinge of sour and unnaturally dissatisfying aftertaste its hard to get around. Seriously nothing is worth no calories just have a bit of actual caramel but control the portion u use or simply limit your calorie intake to accomodate for more caramel! very simple!

I give this product five stars because it's excellent. But not as an edible product. Oh no. Edibly, it's so woeful that I want to sew my mouth shut for all eternity lest something so foul should touch my tongue ever again.But taste aside, it has all sorts of uses. Back-of-cupboard filler. Turd-binder. Cancer-causer. Not to mention being so laden with chemicals and artificial fillers that, should a nuclear holocaust ensue, the only thing left will be Walden's Caramel Dip, sitting idly by, waiting for centuries to pass and evolution to take it's course- spawning a new, super-species of s***-coloured jelly slathering itself all over planet earth.Besides these uses, I imagine it doubles-up as the strongest toilet bleach known to man, considering the ingredient list largely consists of Toilet Duck, bleach and caramel-flavoured bleach.So, to sum up, do yourself a favour and do not purchase this product. Let this calorie, sugar, and carb-free nonsense die a death and eat a little bit cleaner. I wasted £3 on buying it, and I've just thrown it in the bin. And I don't throw food in the bin. But this isn't food- it's pure chemical crap. Don't support it.

I was very suspicious about this - surely nothing has NO calories!First impressions - it smells rich and lush and delicious. Heavy caramel scented, lovely!I tried half a teaspoon on its own and there is a rather bitter aftertaste - I'm guessing from the sweeteners.It seemed to sit on the counter for a good few weeks when one day I really fancied a sweet coffee - I figured I'd put a teaspoon full of it in my coffee and what a revelation - it's just like those lovely flavoured coffees you get in the States - rich, sweet and caramelly. Shame about the somewhat sludgey residue at the bottom of my cup but since it's supposed to be a dip and not a syrup I'll forgive it.Wouldnt use it as a dip but I'll keep using it to flavour my coffee when the craving takes me :)

As I like the caramel syrup, i thought i'd like this and bought some. I wish I hadn't bothered. I can tolerate a tiny bit on a spoon, but any more than that, and it tasts chemically, and leaves a strange bitter after taste on the tongue. I wish I'd saved my money as I won't be using it for anything and it's going in the bin. How anyone could use it as a dip is beyond me.If only these calorie free products tasted nicer, someone would be on to a real winner :-(

Fabulous product. Perfect for anyone avoiding sugar and carbs for whatever reason be it allergy, intolerance, low carbing, the list goes on.Great texture, minimal after taste (one of the best sugar free sweet items I have ever found in this respect). Lovely smooth and silky texture. It combines beautifully as I prefer to do with a base. If this product is mixed with plain yoghurt ( I use St Helens goats yoghurt as I am also dairy intolerant - just lucky that way ;-), ), the result is like a really creamy version of butterscotch angel delight. Makes a perfect desert texture wise. You can add all sorts to this to add further texture e.g.oats, cereal, fruit if you can take sugar.I will be ordering this on a permanent basis. A true hero product for the many of us who face dietary challenges and have a sweet tooth !

A very nice dip. Excellent consistency. Very sweet though so you should not put too much in your food. This is another one which is off limits to my husband! This range is amazing as there is really zero anything in it. I have no idea how they manage to get the taste right. I hope they will start to get the jellies/jams in the UK soon so I can try them and pretend I am having proper jam on my toast. I hate being on a diet! But this range works beautifully for anyone on Dukan (a brilliant diet by the way)or Atkins or that sort of diet. In fact, also very good for low calorie diets as there are no calories in it.

The price for the jar size is excellent. However, the taste was too sweet and artificial. Sadly wont be buying again
