The media could not be loaded. When I thinking of buying this I was going in with not very much knowledge of any advanced maths since then. Now I want to re-do my A-level just as an intellectual exercise and to keep an old man's brain working. So it's all revision for me.The explanations given are the very minimum needed to get a grasp of the topics. The example questions are very well-explained. There are plenty of "concept-check" questions and exam questions dotted around. The book is colourful and well presented.One thing I really like is that it's printed on matt paper, so I can make pencil notes and rub them out if I want to. (You can't do that on glossy paper!)If you've got a decent teacher at school/college and just need some consolidation, this book is fine. If you're working independently, you might want a proper textbook. A nice book to refresh and learn new information, would recommend.

Very practical

Purchased as part of a bundle for my daughter who just started sixth form A Levels. She finds them useful and is helping her keep ahead of the class.

This book is saver. There is lots of content for A-level maths and you feel overwhelmed by the content you have to cover when you are doing revision. So this is where the book becomes handy for you. I like how the book is laid out, summarized . There is practice questions and exam question at the end of each subtopic . This is useful to test and strength your knowledge and practice .However, I wished there was more exam questions .

A good book, but you can't use this alone. You need other supporting books otherwise it is just teaching to the syllabus.

If you are doing, or planning to do, your A-levels then this is a must have item.Stop kidding yourself, it's worth the money!And don't buy it secondhand! You get access to an online e-version code with a one time use, so if you want to save money and get a second hand version...you will, but you will miss out on a great e-platform.
