Dynasty Warriors 5

First off arrived on time and in perfect condition, so hats off to both the seller and Amazon. Secondly I want to bring attention to the case the was free from any damage and perfectly intact (I've received products with messed up cases in the past and it is a HUGE annoyance) and with the game booklet thing. Lastly and most importantly IT FRIGGIN WORKS! 10/10 give them your money.

Amazing game. Loved it. Great for my collection. Fun gameplay. Framedrops brought back memories of the past, though would be unacceptable for modern games.

Was a bit pricey but was worth it to play one of my favorite games again. Disc runs perfectly.

If your expecting horrible innovation and new stuff, the Dynasty Warriors series is not for you. If you want some hack and slash thats fun, makes you feel powerful, and is incredibly stress relieving? Pick this up. This is one of the better installments in the series. DW 3 is good and DW 7 is really good too. Stay away from 6, too many technical problems in that installment. DW 5 begins to show it's age in graphics, but if you don't have a PS3 I'd still reccomend picking this up. If you do have a PS3? Do yourself a favor and pick up 7 instead. About the same fun level and better graphics.

Dynasty Warriors 5 is the best game in the main series. Rather than each character that you pick playing through the entire story of their kingdom, this game has every character play through their own battles. In addition, since they have their individual campaigns, some of them have a special battle that is unique to their story. For example, Guan Yu has a battle that no other character can play where he escapes from Cao Cao with Liu Bei's wife. Graphics are what you would expect from back then. The cutscenes look pretty nice and the gameplay is, well, it's Dynasty Warriors. I love this series, I have played all the Dynasty Warriors games and some of the spinoff series, and I love this game the most out of all of them.

Disk doesn't work. I've bought 16 PS2 games from Amazon and they all work except this one. It says new but how did they make the disk? It won't even spin in my PS2. Waste of $32

Game is in perfect condition, can’t complain so far

This game has definitely stepped up from Dynasty Warriors 4. I will address the separate parts of this game in individual sections below: Game-play: This game plays similar to other Dynasty Warriors games. You still slaughter your way through gangs of foot-soldiers, but they have added some variety in this time around. There is a new stronghold system, which makes capturing bases more interesting and rewarding. They have also added more customization to your bodyguards. There are 48 playable characters to choose from, as well. There is also a new Challenge Mode with different mini-games and activities to spice the game up. Graphics: The fog has been pushed back, allowing you to see more enemies. The frame-rate is usually very good, but can be interrupted at times. Special effects look a bit nicer in Dynasty Warriors 5. The character models are essentially the same as Dynasty Warriors 4. Levels and backgrounds stay about the same, graphically. Sound: Sub-par voice acting, with some funny dialogue thrown in at times to keep dialogue from being too stale. Music is the ordinary rock music with the solos that accompany it. Battle sounds the same. Longevity: This game has many characters and some added features to make this game worth playing through a few times. Die-hard fans will enjoy this game and will most likely play through it many times. Overall, I would give this game an 8.5/10.
