A replica-like "service watch" just under $40 is great deal. Timex knocked it out of the park with this one and followed the K.I.S.S. mind set. It's a simple watch with a red second hand. Oh, and an unobtrusive indiglo backlight when you press the dial. I was surprised how much I like that. Another point for the Timex is how they managed to retain traditional dimensions instead of anachronistically oversizing (and over pricing) the watch like the vast majority of its competitors. The band is a no frills nylon--easy to remove and wash. The 'tick' noise from the second hand is pleasant and a welcome metronome on the rare occasions the world quiets down below 60db.oh, and one more thing. I took a green brillo pad and knocked down the unnecessary chrome finish to look more like brushed steel. Even better.

Timex has always been a brand you can trust. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my Timex watch. People tell me they like it and I can tell them the time too. It even has a feature that allows me to check out the time in the dark. It lights up a eerie green color and it makes a huge difference in my life and the lives of complete strangers that ask me for the time in the dark. It’s a very quiet watch too. I remember this one time I was at a wedding with a different novelty watch not a Timex mind you. This watch would sing every hour on the hour. Tick tick tock and you don’t stop would belt out from my wrist. Yes it happened during the vows and I was so embarrassed. This won’t happen with this beautiful Timex watch. Super quiet, good looks, lights up in the dark and best of all I’ll never be late to the Timex Social Club again.

I bought this watch in 2020, and I still wear it to this day. It's a minimalist watch, yet it doesn't go unnoticed. I find it easy to adapt to different clothing styles, meaning I can take it anywhere. I only have one complaint: the battery that came with it died after two years, but since I replaced it, I've gone three years without changing it.

I got this to replace my last Timex (black strap). I would have purchased the same thing I had, but it was not available, so I thought I would try this one. I only keep them until the battery dies - I have trouble getting the watch open to replace the battery myself, and it costs almost as much as the watch to have someone else do it. I like the Indiglo feature. One thing I will say about this watch is that it's large. It is identified as unisex but is more the size of a man's watch than a woman's. The strap does have plenty of holes so it will fit a small wrist. Last comment relates to packing for delivery - it was put in a paper bag rather than a box, and the watch box was smashed and broken But as they say about Timex, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking - the watch was o.k.

This Timex is lightweight and very comfortable to wear. I also appreciate the affordable price and prompt delivery. The Indiglo backlighting on this watch is a pale white in a lighted room and illuminates a turquiose face dial in the dark. The watch is very easy to read in the dark with the backlighting.

I first bought the Timex Weekender 38mm back in 2013 when I was in ROTC, and after wearing it for years, I’m only replacing it now because I lost my original. That alone should tell you how reliable this watch is. I only had to change the battery once in all that time, and it kept perfect time throughout.The RAF-style strap is lightweight and comfortable, and the watch itself is so light you barely notice it on your wrist. It’s a true classic field watch—simple, durable, and functional. I also own a Seiko, and I regularly swap between the two, but the Weekender remains a go-to for its versatility and ease of wear.If you need a no-nonsense, affordable, and dependable timepiece, this is it. Highly recommend!
