What are the measurments of the item?

The shortest needle is approx 3cm the longest is approx 4.5cm

Anyone else find them impossible to open?

The only time I had trouble opening the ‘compact’ was when a needle was sticking up too much and this would stop the container from sliding around. Hold the container upright, ensure no needles stick up too far and if one does, tap the container so the needle drops back down. Sometimes a needle can lie horizontally if not in the container properly and this can also make opening almost impossible. If a stray needle is in the incorrect position then it sometimes means taking the top of the ‘compact’ off completely so the stray needle can be put into its correct position. When you replace any needle used make sure it goes into a groove all the way down to keep it in place. This minimises the ‘horizontal needle’ problem. Hope this helps, might sound a bit long winded but you will get the idea what I mean when you replace a used needle!

Is this adequate for a denim material?

The needles are all different sizes, sorry not sure they would go through thick denim but some of the bigger ones might.Marie

Hi, the Betweens are 3cm in length and there are 8 x Betweens in the pack.
