Beautifully colours, blend smoothly and seemlessly
Amazing value for money! I had only used pastels once before, got one in with a set. I wanted to give it a go and was so impressed with how beautifully and smoothly they blend together. You can get an array of textures and different colours blends with these. The only thing is that they are quite small but after a few little sketches I actually really liked the size of them as they break less easily than the full length ones I used before. Attached a picture of a piece I'm currently working on. Used a lot of the more neutral tones for this. The other colours are very vibrant but can be dulled down if desiredHighly recommend

Great price
Lovely soft pastels. The colours are lovely and vibrant. Easy to blend too. Also great price. Delivery was great as I ordered them quite late in the day but was still able to have them delivered the very next day.

Inscribe Soft Pastel Set – 64 Colours.
I already reviewed the 32 colour set of these Inscribe half-stick soft pastels here Inscribe Soft Pastel Set - 32 Colours and what I said there holds for this pack too. These make a good starter set of pastels or expansion pack for any existing set you may have; they are good quality and combine well with pastel pencils, chalks and other pastels, are well-pigmented and soft enough to make them easy to blend while the squared shape makes them useful for producing sharper edges or blocky, brush-like strokes. There is no information on lightfastness, so one takes a risk using them for finished work or work for sale; I`m inclined to regard them as standard quality in that respect. The box I received was - as other have experienced – not very well packed and as a result the sticks were displaced and in disarray; boxes I bought containing fewer sticks by this manufacturer in the past were sealed in polythene – it looks like this practice has been discontinued.Although this is a good and recommendable set, prices tend to fluctuate, so I would recommend keeping an eye to the price when considering purchase.

Easy to use and vibrant
I first got a set of these for GCSE art back in 1997 and they are still going strong! I decided to branch out colour wise and was glad to see Inscribe was still available. Ordered via Prime and not disappointed.Lovely colours, none broken and go onto paper easily.I use these mostly for backgrounds in adult colouring.

What a great find.
I bought this set of pastels for myself for Christmas, thinking I'd use them when I'm out and about, for quick sketches. I didn't paint with them until today, and I was blown away by the great colours and how relatively soft they are.I expected something good enough only for underpainting, but they are soft enough and the colours are great enough to do a whole painting.Obviously, they're not as good as (for instance) Senneliers, and they aren't what I'd call finishing pastels (for highlights, etc), but if you want a cheap set of half-sticks, especially if you're a beginner curious about this medium, these are ideal for less than thirteen quid.

Great value and excellent colour selection
These are excellent pastels and the colours are great. I have used various brands over the years and these are great value and good quality. You can pay a lot more, though I don't think you need to. I like this brand as they are not too crumbly and it's worth getting them over cheaper brands which are often crumbly and hard. The range of colours is great and this is what I was looking for. This is important in pastels as you can't mix them in the same way as paints. The only reason I put four rather than five stars for beginners is that some beginners prefer a small set with fewer colours as a first set.

Good Pastels for beginiers
I created two artworks using these pastels, I can say they are definitely good for beginners. Decent pigmentation, perfect softness and beautiful colour selection. Very good price if you want to start learning soft pastel techniques. As a professional, I found a few things that don't work for me as pastels don't stick to the paper well enough and they don't cooperate with fixative very well.
