is this product better than a manual knife sharpener? C.J..

I have Arthritis in the hands the reason one of the reason`s I bought this item, and yes it`s much better than a manual knife sharpener.

Why is the motor so loud, not the grinding wheels

The motor is not mounted on rubber suspension so is a little loud but so is the noise when you run a knife down the wheels to sharpen it. It isn't like you have the motor running when not sharpening anything so I find it acceptable for the price

it is made in China for Domu brand.

Can you buy replacement grinding wheel/stones when they wear out?

Well I haven't got this one YET, but I have a Philip's one bought in 1975 and although noisey and rattling now, hence looking for a new one, we have never changed the stones and they still sharpen now.
