Draper51536 Tyre Pressure Gauge, Blue

This is the simple, old-fashioned type, which needs no batteries, and has no huge delicate dial to break. This neat gauge takes up little space in the glove-box, and is always eady for use. I am delighted with it, as a replacement for my ancient one which I lost.

Quality was good but I was disappointed that it only showed tyre pressure in lbs per square inch. I felt sure when I purchased it, it had been advertised as having bar readings as well.

I’ve just tried to check my tyre pressures with these - every reading is different. It ranged from 28 to 45, (correct setting is 32 psi). I used each one six times, not once was it consistent. Had I trusted it the first time my tyres would have been under inflated.Both items were equally unreliable.

I prefer the straight type of pressure gauge with proper markings and they are quite rare. This Draper one fulfils all my needs and will probably outlast me.

Bought to carry whilst touring on my MC.My only complaint re this is it takes a bit of practice to get it to seat properly on the valve without releasing air, this is both for car and motorcycle tyres.Once practiced with for a bit it works well and reads the same as my other (very) old pencil guage.

Great for me, I use this for a green lane motorcycle tool pack. It’s light, small and accurate. I have always been told to use the pen style gauges, they don’t go out of calibration and are far hardier!This is PSI read out only and is nice and simple to read, once you have achieved your read out you can remove the gauge for closer inspection without losing readout.Will provide years of accurate service.Don’t let the notchy feel of this pen put you off, it’s very accurate and smooth to operate.
