No - They are very solid. You would have to bump them pretty hard for the speakers to fall off. Even harder to tip the whole stand over. There are also a holes on each bottom plate to run your wires through which would add some more stability. If you are in a high traffic area or have small kids, you could add some kind of web strip around the speakers and stand which would be most solid and safe.
