Luxe Elixir Contour Kit - Premium Highlighting and Contour Palette with Pigmented Face Powder - Step-by-Step Contouring Guide Included

I have never tried contouring before but have seen many people like my friends do it and also from tutorial videos online. I then received this beautiful contouring kit by Luxe Elixir and it makes me want to contour all the time when I go out.My first impressions of this kit was it had a nice packaging. It came with a case cover which slides off that has information of the palette at the back, and inside was the contouring kit and instruction manual. The manual was very useful, it illustrates how you would contour according to your face shape to give you the perfect look. It also tells you how to pick your shade for contouring; 2 shades darker than your natural skin tone. This is great information to have for beginners like me. The kit is quality and feels good.The palette comes with a choice of three dark shades of brown and three shades of highlighters. The powder pot is quite big so the kit should last for a while. It is easy to blend into the skin and is quite pigmented so it has lasted me for few hours without any retouch. But I did need to build layers to give me the shade that I wanted. In the end I could see it gave me definition on my cheekbone and jaw line, an illusion of a slimmer face and made my features stand out more.This kit is lovely with a big built in mirror which you can clearly see the whole of your face when you contour. It's light to carry and transport, and fits in my clutch bag if I wanted to bring it out to a evening party.I would recommend this as it is value for money.

Not happy to receive the product completely broken, make up everywere, ended up dropping bits on the carpet, on my clothes just trying to remove it from the packaging.Once I finally cleaned it up it was okay to use but felt like a waste due to the fact I have lost the darker colour.

I really love this product, its the second one I have bought. Before purchasing I have never contoured and really wasn't sure how to do it, so I opted for the 'cheaper option'. This kit is really easy to use and the powder looks creamy on the skin. It lasts all day on my skin, I apply the contour kit over my foundation and everyone has complimented my skin after using this kit. It comes with an easy guide on how to contour depending on face shape etc which really helped! You do need really good brushes to blend the contour as they are so rich in pigment.

The kit was broken however the box was not. There was no additional user manual that was supposed to be. So disappointed after waiting for so long to order this product.I have received replacement of the product after i placed a complained and the customer service was very well responsive. Although again I received a broken product, now using it by mix matching within palettes. The product itself is good and could be use easily with the instruction given. Works well on fair Asian skin specially dark shades. However, I am using different highlighter as the one in it don't define much.

As the rating i've given implies, this is just ok. The powder is very compact and as a result it requires significant effort to get any onto a brush/applicator to apply. When you do manage to apply it the colours are good and it remains in place well. For the money it isn't too bad but there are better products out there that require far less effort.

I use the contour colours more than anything in this palette, but the lighter colours/highlight colours aren't the greatest. I went through the first two colours in the palette incredibly quickly as I never did get the make up onto the brush properly. It quite a rubbery texture for powder and isn't very pigmented as you need quite a few layers for it to actually show colours. One of the colours I don't use at all as it's far too orange for my skin tone. There's one great thing I love about this palette and that's the huge mirror that it comes with, it's great for doing all of your make up. HOWEVER, after a month or so of having this and carefully using it (only left my make up bag when I was using it), the mirror broke off. Major disappointment. If you're looking for a budget contour palette, it's acceptable, although I don't think I'll buy it again! 😕

I decided to spend a little more money on a contour kit after others have left me with terrible breakouts. So far my skin is better than ever and with the guide for how to apply the powder and where to put it for each face type. The mirror in the lid is an added bonus as its big enough to see my whole face. The powder itself is great because you only need a small amount meaning it will last longer than some of the other contour powders. I highly recommend buying this kit

I really love this product I've only used it a few times so far but out of all the contour products I've bought and there have been a few I've found this one to be the best. It has a great variation of shades and I have fair skin and find it difficult to find the right shade. I also think it's great that the company take the time to email you about their product and have interest in making sure the customer is happy! Fantastic product and company!
