Best Knife My Dad has Ever Had!
We bought this knife for my dad for his birthday last year, and he has been using it constantly ever since then! He has truly never had a better knife. Be careful, it's EXTREMELY sharp!

Absolute pleasure to cut with these
I’ve been needing new kitchen knives for a while these checked all my boxes for the price. Incredible weight in your hand, extremely balanced, super sharp and they look beautiful on my knife rack. These are definitely something I would’ve used in a restaurant kitchen.

My New Workhorse
I'm a young chef, I've only been in professional business for about two years now with three years of culinary school behind me; so take everything I have with a grain of salt. I've been testing this knife for about a week now and I'll tell you, its been an absolute joy to use. I've usually been using it to prep for a breakfast shift (onions, half case of bell peppers, half box of mushrooms, tomatoes, etc). I only had to use a honing steel once on this knife for about a two hour prep session before I had to cut overripe tomatoes for omelettes. The only gripes I've had have with this knife is that the lamination on the absolutely stunning handle that came with my knife is about a half millimeter or less from being completely square with the tang of the knife on the top and bottom of the handle (or front and back depending on which way you look at it), and there is a slight defect with the lamination of the handle (about a 1 square millimeter or less spot) . It's not enough of a complaint to send this knife back since its one of the few knives I own that are perfectly balanced from it's tip to it's tang. And like I've said, I plan to make this knife my workhorse and main chef knife for work so I won't complain that it doesn't look the best (Though it does still looks amazing to be honest). I'm aiming for functionality, not perfection. And this knife definitely has the functionality and balance; definitely compared to the standard half-tang knife service knives I was using to prep before. I'm planning to slowly but surely replace all the knives in my kit to Dalstrong; I already have their Ravager cleaver, and I've already ordered a boning knife and a steel, and I'll be definitely ordering more knives in the future; whether its from the gladiator, phantom, or shogun series.

Sharp Beautiful Knife
This knife is gorgeous - the turquoise handle is just stunning and the quality of the knife so far is amazing. I was almost too afraid to use it the first few times because its so sharp and i'm a clumsy cook sometimes lol

The first good knife I've owned
I'm not a knife expert by any stretch... Every knife I've owned before this is just a cheap kitchen knife I found at a random store for like $30-$50. Those knives weren't very sharp to begin with but quickly dulled to being pretty dangerous to even use. I was struggling to prep dinner and it just wasn't good.So I bought this knife and wow is it nice and sharp. Holding it is like Schroedinger's Blade. On the one hand it feels extremely dangerous to even hold because one false move and I'm slicing my hand open or my finger off... but on the other hand (the one not being sliced), it feels very solid and very balanced and it cuts things so effortlessly that it makes food prep WAY safer. Before I was having to really put pressure down to even cut an onion, now I'm gently sliding the blade right through everything like butter. So in terms of how effective this knife is... I'd say 100%.It feels great to hold. It has good weight to it. You can feel the quality just from holding it. Super easy to clean as well.My only concern with getting a fancy knife like this was maintenance... I have zero knowledge of keeping a knife sharp, or proper knife care, or anything... So I sort of "winged it" by getting a little simple knife sharpener off amazon that you just run the blade through a few times. I've used it a handful of times on the knife so far but honestly it didn't even need it. The blade is still sharp a couple months later of daily use. This is a no muss, no fuss, sharp as a razor knife that gets the job done. I'm super happy with it and glad I finally spent a bit more money on a quality kitchen knife. It makes chopping stuff fun.

Great knife and unparalleled customer service
We replaced our cheapie knife block that had probably 18 knives 2 years ago for this blade, eventually adding a paring knife and honing steel from Dalstrong. We were immediately much happier with the fit and finish, how it holds an edge and the quality and care that went into its packaging and craftsmanship. It holds its edge (which I hone on a Dalstrong steel every couple of days) and sharpens close to factory-sharp on a whetstone (watch the Burrfection guy).I had noticed that it developed a subtle bend to the left towards the tip of the blade -- not sure how, but it does make it a little more difficult to sharpen/hone the last inch or so. I emailed Dalstrong last week (right in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis) asking for advice on how to remove the bend. Instead, they sent me a brand-new blade, all within about 3 business days. I was not fishing for a new knife, just for a best practice! But as Rachelle from Dalstrong customer care said: "The pleasure is all ours, it really means a lot to us to be able to earn your loyalty and set things right. We are in this for the long haul and believe integrity and customer commitment is the foundation on which we all benefit."We don't intend to get many more knives -- our needs are being met by our chef's and paring knives -- but when we need another one (maybe small chef's knife for our son to begin in the kitchen?) we'll get another Dalstrong. You should too -- you won't be disappointed.
