Turtle Beach Elite 800X Premium Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset - Xbox One and Xbox One S

I've now owned this headset for over 6 months and have yet to have a single issue with them. They are simply fantastic. I've always found Turtle Beach to be high quality and these are no different. When I first got them they hurt my head/ears slightly after an hour or two of wearing them but over time this stopped being an issue as I wore them in. They are super comfortable to wear and also adjustable. As for the sound quality, it's just amazing. There are a variety of different settings you can choose from (Game mode, Music mode, movie mode, etc.) as well as settings within those (for example, when in game mode you can choose to have it on "Shooters" or "Racing"), so you can really find the best sound for you. Personally, I tend to use "Signature Sound". They also come with a sleek black stand which they sit in when not in use, and this also charges them. The battery life is excellent so you don't need to worry about them running out of power after an hour of using them (even if they do, you can simply plug them in via USB). Quite simply they're one of the best purchases I've ever made. Still very happy with them. Sure they're one of the pricier headsets on the market, but you absolutely get what you pay for. I use these most days and I've never felt like I wasted money on them. Highly recommended, especially for gamers.

I purchased a pair of these a year ago today, and the plastic that the cups slide on, cracked a month after purchase. I had to buy this new pair, after the old ones completely broke (gaffer tape can only fix so much) Now for the Review. These headsets are the best on the market, and come packed with features, that you'd expect from headsets that are in the £200 bracket. The sound quality is second to none, with different modes for gaming, films, music, and stereo. Blu tooth connectivity means that you can take phone calls, whilst still gaming ect. The headsets are extremely comfortable. I can wear them for 10 hours without feeling like they are causing discomfort. The battery only has 10 hours of juice, but that's more than enough for whatever you need. And they charge pretty quickly. There was an issue with the mic. Some people likened the mic to talking in a tin can. But a recent patch fixed the issue. All in all, a great headset, but I'll be keeping an eye on whether they last longer than a month, before the plastic breaks. In my opinion, my rating would be 8/10 Update. THE BUILD QUALITY ON THESE IS EXTREMELY BAD, PLASTIC HOLD THE SLIDER FOR THE CUPS, HAS BROKE IN THE SAME PLACE ON 3 DIFFERENT PAIRS. NOW AWAITING A REFUND, AND WILL BE BUYING A DIFFERENT BRAND. MY ADVICE, IS DO NOT BUY, UNLESS YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THEM BREAKING ANYWHERE BETWEEN ONE TO SIX MONTHS OF PURCHASE.

THE GOOD Sound quality is awesome. No doubt about it. This is what you expect from a premium headset. I’ve been using this headset for 12 hrs now since it arrived from Prime Day. Was on sale from £170+ down to £135, which for me, was a bargain given the original price years ago. Presets for gaming is not bad. Prticulary like the superhuman sound and footsteps enhanced...gave me some advantages to my matches. Also, the charging dock is very nice. Unless you game for 12 hrs straight then of course you loose battery in the middle. The grEen LED light in the dock is always on which is beautiful. Indicates that the headphone is charged, otherwise its red if charging. The Movie and Music presets are not that bad as well. Physically, you get a premium quality feels out of the headset. The green highlights are impressive for xbox enthusiasts. THE BAD The plates are loose. They are fully functional but when I turn my head or move my body, the screech is unbearable. Noise cancelling could not remove it. It just vibrates to your inner ear. It’s very, very disturbing. Called customer support for this. Amazon is happy to give me 10% additional discount and made me happy not to return this. Otherwise I would have used the full refund to purchase Stealth 700 instead. The “invisible” microphone is a little terrible although they made a nice move putting it on both sides. But headsets with mic for me are little bit more appealing to look at for gamers. It does pick up sounds quite nicely. It does not have IOS support which sucks. Th app only supports Stealth 700. Android, yes. Rare sound drops. Definitely noticeable if your playing action RPG’s which has endless sound effects. There’s a small, scratching, sort of a windy noise when choosing any options on any menu. You could recognise it immediately on your xbox homepage when scrolling around the interface. OVERALL I would have given this 2 stars if it weren’t for the prtial discount and Amazon Prime Day sale. It’s not worth the £170+. Just keep an eye if the price drops low again.
