Hooded Cat Pan Replacement Carbon Filter, white/black

We have 3 indoor cats and have had 3 Catit hooded litter trays for around 5 years now. I initially used carbon filter sheets and cut the filters to size, but soon discovered this was far inferior and a faff on. I fully change the litter and clean the boxes every 3 days, this may seem a lot but the litter trays are in our home and doing this makes me confident the house does not smell. I also slide a vac freshener disc on top of the filter, under the lip of the litter lid - smells great! Points to consider: 1. they don't last forever! you do need to change them regularly approx every 3 months i change them 2. if you don't clean the litter and change it regularly it will soon absorb the smell and become less effective 3. they are a bit pricey, but worth it for controlling the smell in my opinion I have just bought another two packs and Amazon tells me its the 18th time i have bought them - i wouldn't spend my money on them if they didn't work.

I think some people think that these filters will be miracle workers, but if you use poor litter and don’t empty regularly enough, nothing is going to prevent smells from seeping out. For me, I’ve finally found the perfect combination. The original filter for my Catit hooded tray blew away while I was washing it out and to be honest, I hadn’t changed it in a year because I didn’t realise there were replacement filters available. When I replaced the filter I definitely noticed a difference, every time I was approaching the tray previously I could smell urine, even though I emptied it twice per day. However, the new filter combined with the new litter I’ve found I feel like I’ve found the perfect combo....Catit hooded tray, new filter and Cat's Best Sensitive Clumping Cat Litter. I’m always paranoid about people being able to ‘smell cat’ when they come into the house, but I honestly don’t notice any smells at all now in the room we keep the tray.

These branded replacement filters fit well and do the job. The only problem is the cat thinks they're a scratch-mat and scratches them up and out of the roof of his litter box, so we have to put something over it to stop him. We even gave our used ones to a friend who wanted them to use as a rodent repellent. Another friend uses new ones to put in the top of a bin where they dispose of used colostomy bags. You can also buy non-branded, generic ones on Amazon.

I buy these every few month for my cat litter box. There great for distinguishing smells and it's great that's it's a 2 pack. One of these filters last me around 2 month which is ideal. The only small downside is that these are add on items if they were sold as normal items it would be ideal. This isn't such a big issue for me as I'm forever ordering of amazon due to been disabled it's easier for me to order everything online but for other customers that maybe don't order that much it may be an issue but that is just my personal opinion. I just think if you need replacements and only need these a lot of people would be put of buying with it having to be an add on item with orders over £20. Would recommend to anyone though as there great for keeping the nasty smells in from the litter tray and they do last for a long time which is a bonus 😊 No more embarrassing smells when we have visitors in and the cats decide to do there business!!

Bought these carbon replacement filter pads for my x-large cat-it hooded litter tray, they do help reduce the odour however i think they are expensive for what you get as they are just carbon filter pads (i paid £4.99 when purchased), i think i will buy a carbon filter sheet and self cut myself in future as they don't last no longer than a few weeks so need replacing regularly. Most cheap stores sell carbon filter sheets ie for cooker hoods and many other things (think pound stores). So yes they do work but at a cost. I would recommend the product but the price is still steep for my liking and not sure i want to pay so much for 2 carbon filter pads, yes they do work but with two cats it can be costly buying these. Hope this helps others.

I use these with the Catit Smartsift Sifting Cat Pan, they fit perfectly and work great for our two cats, I change the filter about every month and although I was initially a bit sceptical about how effective carbon filters are I was really impressed in the change in air quality after leaving one in for a week or so extra and then putting a fresh filter in.

Ces filtres à charbons sont très efficaces. Ils filtrent parfaitement les odeurs de la litière fermée de ma chatte. J'ai même demandé à des proches de me le dire franchement, tous étaient étonnés de ne sentir aucune odeur d'urine de chat dans mon appartement. Un gros plus, on peut les garder plus longtemps que ce qu'il est indiqué sur la notice. Le meilleur indice pour savoir quand changer le filtre, c'est ma chatte qui me le donne. Elle commence à rechigner à entrer dans sa litière, même quand celle-ci est propre.

These can be washed in dish soap and hot water and re-used. They really do help block odors. Would buy again.

Mi arenero usa un filtro de la mitad de tamaño de este. Entonces, partí en 2 cada cuadrito, y lo cambio cada mes. Por ende, solo 3 veces al año tengo que comprarlo. Cumple su función de abosorber malos olores, pero si lo complementan con el "CatDeodorizer" de Arm&Hammer, y cambiar la arena diario (1 vez por día si hay un gato, 2 veces si tienen 2 y 3 veces si tienen 3), sin problema el olor queda encapsulado dentro de la caja (la nuestra es cerrada con puertita), y no pasa ni siquiera al cuarto donde se encuentra la caja.

I did not know how 'full' the original carbon filter on my cat's litter box was until I replaced it with one of these. Big difference when my cat drops his daily "bomb". Only needed one so I stuck the other one on a 200mm computer fan and am using it as a soldering fume extractor. It also works very well for taking the solder/flux smoke and smell out of the air. Also nicely filters out vape smoke. Many uses I also appreciate the fact that its far far cheaper than what my local pet store wanted to sell it for, and far far far cheaper than a fume extractor and filter.
