Great for PC eye-strain!!
Ok first off, I'm a web developer so I stare at my monitor all day and then later when I get home. I was getting really bad eye strain, to the point where I couldn't do any consistent work. Went to my optician who said that there was no evidence that anti-blue light glasses such as these helped. Bought some expensive new glasses from them and it made no difference at all. So I thought why not try out on these specs instead...2 days later, no eye strain whatsoever. These are great not just for laptops but also in rooms with fluorescent light, really cuts down the glare. Pros - Cheap Fits well but there is some pinching over the ears Wraps well around the eyes to block out any light coming in from the sides. Works like a charm! Cons - Is a bit flimsy on the frame, so don't treat them too forcefully You look like a bit of a fool in the office, or like the guy from Team America World Police. Whatever makes you feel better... Overall 5* - why? Because all the cons are outweighed by the price, I don't expect titanium, carbon- fibre, captain scarlet indesctructible for just over a £10. Well worth a go, if you are getting eye strain at the pc all day!! Try these first before you pay for new glasses!

They do what they promise to
These are just about big enough to wear on top of spectacles, if you have specs with thin frames - forget that if you have regular frames. But they cut out a lot of blue light. I have ME and regularly have to keep away from laptops and PC screens - these certainly help in that regard. On a bad day when I'm a bit light sensitive and have headaches and brain fog, these help just by wearing them around the house. No, I wouldn't have believed it either. Even enabling the blue light filter on my phone or laptop doesn't compare to wearing these. For the price they're a bargain. Whether you find them comfortable probably depends on the size of your head. Mine is fairly big and I can wear them without much discomfort. They feel well made enough to last unless you're particularly clumsy and tread on them.

Most practical, well priced and effective anti blue light glasses on the market?
These are great quality for what you're paying. Use them with a light warming application such as f.lux for the best results. Positives: + They hug your face really well, the side shields keep light out and the tint makes sure no (or very little) blue light will reach your eyes. + I saw an analytical graphic and these glasses block out about 98% of blue light, more than enough to see the health benefits (better sleep etc). + A very good price point, well priced indeed. Negatives: - They aren't that stylish, but don't look awful either. They are substance over style, and do the job better than other products in this market that are geared more towards aesthetics. - Lower quality materials; this doesn't affect function at all; but plastic is always going to be worse than metal and more prone to breakage. - The strong tint may makes these unsuitable for situations where accurate color perception is necessary, for example playing video games. It's a trade-off, block out more blue light while forfeiting colours or block less blue light and seeing a broader colour spectrum - different glasses in this market will suit different needs.

I love it!
Almost bought one of the other “fake” blue-blocking glasses that block only 10%, while this one does 98%, I believe. The colours do in fact change by a lot, and the white becomes orange (because of the blue light being removed), but the effect is amazing. It’s like transporting yourself into a much calmer environment. Monitor display picture becomes much sharper (it’s hard for human eyes to focus on blue light, which is being removed). One of the interesting side effects I found is that it helps with my red-green colourblindness (deutan) a lot — the greens and reds are much more distinct, like by a lot! Of course, you can’t see blue anymore ;) But that’s the desired effect. The build quality is amazing. I think they are made in the USA by the company providing protection equipment to professionals (they have other protective equipment). To be honest, I buy a lot on Amazon, and this product is the best thing I bought in a while! And I haven’t even tried it before sleeping yet, just wearing during day ;)

Very good blue light blocker but Ye Gads! 'tis uncomfortable and irritating to wear!
Disclaimer: I bought these not for safety but for their alleged ability to block blue light. I came across a recommendation for this specific model from someone suffering sleeping problems and discussed blocking blue light that is emitted from all LCD screens. Pros: It seems to work as intended. I have no empirical evidence, or means to onjectively measure my quality of sleep, but anecdotally, I do tend to sleep better when wearing these while surfing the net, watching videos or playing games at night. The orange tint to everything isn't really that big of an issue and while currently playing BioShock 2, seems to match quite nicely with the colour scheme anyway. Cons: These are one of the most uncomfortable safety specs I have ever worn. The entire lower and outer edges of the orange plastic seem designed to maximise irritation and dig into your skin. The rigid plastic nose "pads" just seem to dig into the sides of my nose. It sucks because during my work week, I could be spending up to 3 hours playing on my PC and these things are so irritating after just 20 minutes of wear. But i don't really have a choice at the moment. The design desperately needs some thought into some sort of soft rubber or foam edging or padding.

I've suffered from chronic sleep problems my entire life, and recently discovered I have DSPD (Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder), so I have made several changes to attempt to improve my sleep pattern. First I bought a Light Therapy light (which I'll review separately after a little more use), and then I downloaded software that reduces the blue light glow from my computer's monitor. I also stopped sitting under a bright lamp every evening and now have a dim mini-lamp/nightlight that I turn on in the evening instead. And finally I bought these orange blue-blocking glasses. So now every morning I use the Therapy Light, and every evening I put on the glasses, and dim the both the room light and the PC monitor. I've only been doing this new routine for a few days so it's too early to speak for sure of results, although I can already report that I've fallen asleep and woken up almost exactly one hour earlier each day since I started all the above things, which in and of itself is a bit of a miracle for me. I'm still about 6 hours off a "normal" sleep schedule, but it's a great start. The glasses themselves are better than I expected in both quality and usability. They are true safety glasses, Z87 rated with polycarbonate lenses, although that doesn't matter much for my use. I was testing out a yellow-lensed pair of shooting goggles that I happened to already have when I first learned about this sleep/blue-light thing, but I read that orange was really ideal for blocking blue light so I ordered these. I was expecting the orange to be much darker than the yellow, but it's actually not bad at all. I find that it enhances the colors and tones of most things and I've actually come to really like how things on the screen look through them. Screen images with a lot of bright blue colors are now a rich, deep green and things look generally warmer and richer. They definitely block blue light too, my proof was that my blue modem light completely disappears when I look at it with these on, which is kind of strange but impressive. The modem light was altered but still visible through the yellow lenses, so orange is clearly better for this usage. The temple length (arms) is adjustable as well as the tilt. For example when I first put them on the bottom of the lenses were pushing into my cheeks but I realized I could adjust the angle outward a little and now they're perfect, so that's a handy feature. There is a full wrap to these, so I'm not getting any peripheral light coming in. I put these on at night mainly for my computer use but I'm quickly developing the habit of wearing them all around the house in the evenings right up until bedtime to avoid exposure to any bright lighting before bed, kitchen and bathroom lights for example. It was a little awkward at first but they've become quite agreeable and I feel good knowing I'm taking these steps toward a better night's sleep. I feel much more relaxed at night now too, wearing these combined with dimmer room lighting; it really helps me get into "winding down mode". I bought two pairs, one for my computer room and another for my nightstand for when I use my Kindle in bed (which I now try to avoid). Very glad I learned about these. I do wish they came with a little draw-string case however, but for the price I can't complain.

I ordered a pair for my mom as she likes to look at her iPad in the evening for a couple hours to do her research and she loved them so much so I bought a pair of myself and they have been very helpful. They are only for home use, if they were for being at work I would want clear ones, but these actually have more protection being the amber color. I’m really happy with them.. I also love how they wrap around the side a little bit.
