Very good cantilever Keyboard
I got this for the cantilever feature. The other keyboard I had did not do that and it always fell over backwards if I took my hands off it. I was very worried going in as I have never had a magnetic mounted case. I was worried it would slide off and would not be protected if dropped. I was very surprised when this thing arrived. It holds my 12.9” iPad Pro like a champ, I have even already dropped it. I even dropped while it was open. Completely protected my IPad Pro, as it fell side first. I don’t think this case exposes it anymore or less as compared to any other keyboard/case combinations. The IPad Pro even stayed mounted and didn’t move. I was really surprised. I have no worries about protection from general falls. Also I have no worried about the IPad coming loose, the hold is strong. The keyboard is very well back lit, the Bluetooth works very well. Some functions like lock don’t work, but I don’t need it, nor would I use it if it did. All the features you need and will use work just fine. I have seen videos and people saying it doesn’t work with the iPad, but I highly doubt they are pairing it correctly. Also I see where some say the track pad don’t work. But it works fine as long as you follow the directions and turn assistive touch off in the settings. All and all this is a really good set up and it absolutely maintains posture when your hands are off and does not fall over. Well worth every penny and money saved since I didn’t have to get the Magic Keyboard. This keyboard has a very good feel, keys feel strong and soft. I would buy another if I needed one, well I actually did for my 11”. So there is that.

After A Month of Testing, Here Is My Verdict
I have been using the ESR iPad 13 keyboard for over a month now. I was looking for an alternative to the very expensive apple keyboard. I have previously used the apple keyboard for a smaller iPad, and was very impressed with it. So I questioned how well would this product compare.I am GREATLY impressed. The magnet holds very well for this 13 inch iPad. The keyboard is well light, with an option to make it brighter or darker. The battery life is great. I was charging in once a week but lately it’s been 2+ weeks before I charge. I use it often, so the battery life is impressive. The keys are quiet and work very smoothly. The iPad and keyboard combine initially felt heavy together, but neither of them alone feel that heavy. But this has not been an issue of concern for me.I am highly impressed with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality keyboard case and interested in saving a couple hundred dollars!

Good (if somewhat expensive) folio style keyboard and trackpad
I almost returned this because of the awkward clasp (that wasn’t even shown in some of the photos). It tended to flop over onto the screen and would not stay out of the way. But then I discovered that it can be magnetically snapped into place behind the tablet if you position it right (pull it up slightly). Once I discovered this it was clear sailing…. And it wasn’t mentioned anywhere. The keyboard is a bit cramped due to the width of the tablet but the keys feel decent, with good travel and tactile feedback. The backlighting is adjustable for color and brightness and retains that setting even after being powered off. The backlighting times out but comes back on when any key is pressed (but not when the trackpad is used). After a longer timeout, the whole keyboard (including the trackpad) goes to sleep and does not wake up until you tap a key. At that point the keyboard lights up and after several seconds the keyboard and trackpad automatically reconnect to the iPad.The touchpad works well with only a very slight delay that is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. It is a bit sensitive though, and if you aren’t careful you can accidentally brush near it and put the cursor somewhere you didn’t intend. Can’t comment on battery life since I haven’t managed to run it down yet ;)It is relatively heavy, making the tablet and keyboard combo a lot heavier than the tablet itself. This might be a necessity though due to where the center of gravity lands with the tablet leaning back slightly. The hinge works well and seems quite sturdy. All in all, I like it and will keep it. It turns my iPad into a very passable small laptop for traveling, which is what I wanted. It manages to put a reasonable keyboard and trackpad in the same footprint as the iPad, and the whole thing still fits in my iPad case.

Great keyboard!
Amazing keyboard and case. Extremely easy to type on and very high quality. Long battery life for keyboard. My only complaint is it is heavier but I still rated it 5 stars because well made and nicer than my old more expensive Apple one.

Great option
Loving it so far! They keyboard and trackpad both work well. The track pad is a little choppy, especially when it comes to dragging icons around, but overall I am very happy with it anyways. It works perfectly for scrolling and multitasking.Love that the keyboard is backlit, and has different led colors to pick from. It also feels nice to the touch, as the whole thing is matte soft plastic.I personally could do without the strap, but it would be great to keep an apple pencil attached in a bag.I think the case looks and feels super close to the official option for less than half the price.I also am very impressed with the battery life so far. I was hesitant to leave it on with the case closed, but it seems to have an auto shutoff, or sleep feature because I havent charged it or turned it off in 3 days now and it still has about 95% charge. Its also nice that its battery life shows up in the widget.Mu only complaint so far is the minor trackpad issues and I feel like the magnets could be slightly stronger. Sometimes when I adjust the volume I push the ipad slighty off the magnets.Overall I highly recommend this product.
