Amazing for everyone, especially amazing for thinner/shorter folks
Most guitar straps are too long, too uncomfortable, too xyz. Not this one. I put MONO Short straps on all of my electric guitars and basses. I'm a thinner female so the padded nature of this strap feels amazing; it doesn't cut into my collarbones or cut off my circulation. I'd recommend this strap to anyone, but folks who may be on the shorter or thinner side will especially appreciate it. It's so comfortable and doesn't cause you fatigue when you play standing up for hours. I've had all 3 of my MONO straps for years and they still hold up well. The slit at the end of the strap that connects to the guitar is a little small/tight, but that's a minor issue compared to the excellent value. Get this strap!

Short but really nice
Really comfortable, has a little bit of grip to it, so really helped tame a neck-dive prone guitar. Now this is the short one, and it means it. It only goes from 10yo short to jazz player “I hug my guitars”short. You aren’t going to be doing any slash-type maneuvers, and don’t sign up if you are girthy. That said, it is well built, makes the guitar feel lighter, and has a nice cushion. Worth the money.

Very tacti-cool. Just my style.
I don't mind if things come in fun colors, as long as those colors are black. So when I saw that this (kind of) unusual guitar (or bass) strap was also offered in my most favored of hues, I knew I needed one. After playing for several hours, I must say this strap delivers what MONO advertised, that is to say, a consiberable felt difference in the instrument's weight. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a HUGE difference, i.e, your Les Paul isn't gonna feel like a ukelele, but the strain on your shoulder and back will be reduced. Thanks in part to the memory foam, extremely rugged construction and choice of materials (neoprene underside and "Sharkskin" top layer), this guitar strap feels more like a piece of military equipment than any other strap on the market (especially those cheezy leather straps with fake plastic "bullets" sewn in, boo!!). I play a feather light Ibanez JS24P and a Schecter 8 string, and this makes the Schecter feel slightly less like the granite countertop it is. So yeah, I would recomend it. Keep in mind kids: you get what you pay for. If the price tag is too steep, get an Ernie ball nylon strap for the $8.00 to $10.00 price point, but if you want something that appears to be very well built and maybe lighten the load a little bit, get this one. Plus you could alway zip line with it when the zombies come, so there's always that...

I want to like it...
I've purchased several straps in the last few months, trying to find a good one to replace my favorite 25 year old leather strap which is starting to look more "dead cow" than leather. I tried several from Amazon, including a Perri's Leathers (was cheap, it'll do, just barely), a Fort Bryan (was really cheap, sent back) and a Franklin from Zzounds (very nice, but too long). I realized quickly my cheapness was causing me much disappointment. I decided that I needed to give the Mono a shot. I just received it and it seems very well made and is quite attractive. I've never used anything other than a leather strap. Initially, I can't say that the padded design will be more comfortable than a good broken in leather strap, Only a few long gigs will tell. But I can say I've got a couple of complaints right off the bat. First is the length. This is the Short model, which Mono claims goes as short as 40", which is about the ideal length for me. But my shortest adjustment on the strap I received is more like 41.5". I know it doesn't sound like much, but to me it means I may end up sending it back, as it is verging on too low, and not adjustable. (I did check that the strap has the 'S' tag, not the 'L' tag). The other issue I see is the metal hardware and the potential it has to do great damage to the finish of my instruments- something that isn't remotely a concern with a good leather strap. But the metal hardware should hold up well. As for the rubber ends, I think I really like them- they lock very assuredly onto the Planet Waves Elliptical End Pins I use on all of my basses. If I decide I like it enough and can get past my fear of the metal hardware dinging the bass, I may consider modifying the adjustable portion of the strap, by shortening the nylon portion where it attaches to the metal adjuster. It seems a shame to have to do it, but it may be the only way I can live with the strap .

Style and Comfort
I'm a short guy (5 foot 4) with a big guitar (Gibson semi-hollow body). Using a regular 2-inch-wide cotton strap was extremely uncomfortable and took its toll on my neck and shoulder. I've had good experiences with other MONO products, so I decided to give this strap (the short version) a try. It's worth every penny. The part of the strap that goes over your shoulder is nicely padded with memory foam cores, and it's width distributes the weight very evenly across my shoulder. Practices with my band can run for several hours, and I can play standing up the whole time without much issue. Most of the time, it's my feet that get fatigued before my shoulder. I also own a MONO Doolittle strap, which I use on a much lighter Strat. I prefer the overall look of the Doolittle, but I don't like the rubber end panels on that strap because they are very difficult to put over your end pins. The Betty also has rubber end panels, but they are not as thick, and therefore, much easier to put on an take off. They still have a strong grip, though, so I don't worry about the safety of my guitar. The thickness of the padded section on the strap does mean that it can get pretty warm--I definitely find my shoulder getting sweaty after extended play. Also, I have to set the strap as short as it can go (and even then, it's a touch long), but that shouldn't be a problem as long as you're taller than me. If you're looking for a stylish strap that also maximizes comfort, this is a good place to start.

Well made and easy on the shoulder.
I have a bad back and have a difficult time with electric guitars. I haven't played one in a long time due to this problem but found a light-weight electric (still heavy, but lighter than my Les Paul). I needed something to keep the strap from cutting into my shoulder while I try to get used to hauling around a heavier instrument again. This works great. It is sturdy and I don't have any concerns about it coming off the guitar. It adjusted easy and the short version works well for me (short woman). My guitar is black so this looks good with the guitar, too. It seems well made.

Very comfortable - well made and worth the money.
This is my first Mono Cases product, and I am very happy with it. It is the most comfortable strap I have ever owned, and makes my heavy electric bass feel much lighter. The wide pad distributes the load well and does not slip. The only potential problem is that if you are very small and wear your instrument very high it may not adjust quite short enough, even though this is the 'short' version of the strap. If this applies to you, be sure to measure the length of your current strap to make sure this one will work. This caveat will apply to VERY few people. All in all, a great product. I got mine on sale and wish I'd bought two.

This is the probably the best strap I have ever owned
The length is great for bass. As its shortest setting, it is almost as long as my neoprene padded guitar strap at its full length. I have not had to extend it the full way to be comfortable and I am 6foot 5. This strap is extremely comfortable without feeling springy like most straps that use elastic to take the pressure off. The ends lock onto my bass without using strap locks, just standard strap pegs. There is a rubberized feel to the ends which helps keep it in place. I have read others on forums complaining that the strap does not offer much movement and is almost sticky on your clothes. While there is a slight texture on the backside, I have not had any issues moving my bass around comfortably while I play.
