Customer service and product are phenomenal.
I bought this as an upgrade to my Astro a50, because the mic on it sucks. But this new microphone while not being a completely budget microphone is definitely worth the money. The software is phenomenal as well. If you're like me and your beginner at using studio type microphones, then this is a great entry point with good software to get you started. I don't really do any actual studio recording, but I play a lot of games and I got tired of my microphone sound like I was FDR telling people about Pearl harbor. It's a really small and heavy duty microphone. It's made out of solid metal except for the gain knob and the screws that hold it to the mount. Other than that it's fantastic. It has some weight to it so it feels nice and premium, and overall just a fantastic microphone. The sound quality is fantastic as well especially right out of the box before you do anything with the software. I also want to take note of their amazing customer service. The one that I got originally had a issue with the USBC port, I noticed it after my cats would rub their head on it It would just start disconnecting. So I just sent them an email and they were quick to respond and quick to just issue out a whole new product to me. I received a brand new microphone two days later and this one doesn't have an issue at all. Phenomenal customer service, and a phenomenal product for the money that you're paying. I bought their low profile boom arm as well, huge fan of it and it doesn't make a lot of noise that other people can hear or that you can hear yourself.

Solid build quality, usb or xlr flexibility feature, sound good, look great and substantial.
I'm not an audio or mic expert but I got these specifically because I was looking for some professional looking podcast mics that had usb or xlr options because I initially needed the USB until I got a mixer to switch to XLR. I'm not one to just get the Sure SM7B just because it's supposed to be the best sounding mic. I listen to a lot of youtubers that use a variety of mics that sound great and I don't say hmm the Sure is far superior sounding. I say ummm I can't really tell the difference with a lot of them. And even if I can, unless it's very echoey or peaking usually it doesn't take away from the video to have a cheap mic. I also watch several podcasts who use the Rode PodMic which you can get used for way under $100 and that one also sounds great. And these are big podcasts like Valuetainment. In fact, except for the fact that I wanted both USB and XLR and that I liked how these MAONO mics looked, I probably woulda gone with the Rodes. What I'm saying is that I feel like I could use these MAONO mics into the future for a professional podcast and not have to upgrade because they sound great, look professional, are are built like tanks. It's a great time to do podcasts and Youtube because there are many good cheap options and you don't need a $400 mic at all with the options out there. I recommend these MAONOs if you want the flexibility of USB and XLR. It came very useful to me when doing different kinds of videos. The usb was plug and play, and the XLR is gonna be for more professional use with mixers and multiple mics. So as you grow and when you need to upgrade... you won't have to because this mic will work for you.

A Solid well built microphone.
So far so good. The build quality on this mic seems to be really good it the screws hold everything in place allowing me to easily adjust the position of the microphone without any sagging. It comes with a weighty base that is perfect to get started with if you have the desk space in front of you to use it. the cable works as expected. I purchased this as my headset had a tendency to echo to anyone I was voice chatting with and they all say my voice clarity is excellent. I'm using this with a focusrite scarlet and so far I do have to have everything turned quite far up to for my voice to be loud enough to for others to hear but it does get loud enough. I may get a usb extension cable to be able to try the usb quality. I'd also like to note that I use linux as my primary OS and things worked right out of the box. Overall I'm quite pleased with the setup I have.

Good in a nutshell but it came with a small defect
The microphone is really good for it’s price. The sound quality is good! Obviously you can get small noise but for the value it’s passable imo. The overall quality feels great, for example it’s kinda heavy and the materials feel with good quality. I’m using it for the moment with USB C and you can use the Maono link app where you can tweak gain, use limiter, compressor, and even noise gate which is really good isolating some background noise, HOWEVER when you are talking that background noise can be taken by the Microphone. The only complaint I have is that the microphone came with a small damage on its surface (picture) but overall is good considering I bought it on sale ($108 usd) and I guess that’s the only defect it has.

The mic is excellent for its price. I would recommend a better design for the stand it is really short and rigid, and it would be better if it were more flexible

Do not pass up the opportunity to buy this mic. This rivals any expensive studio voice mic. It even sounds almost as good as my Neumann U87 Ai (a $50,000 peso mic!). This is more than perfect for recording, podcast, gaming, etc. I HIGHLY recommend!

I’ve only had the Maono PD400X for a few days but I’m impressed so far. The mic feels sturdy and has a nice weight to it. Setup with USB was super easy and it worked right away on my laptop. The sound is clear and already a big step up from the budget mic I was using before. One thing I’ve noticed is that it sounds best when you speak fairly close to it and slightly off to the side to avoid harsh “p” sounds. A separate pop filter or foam cover also helps if you want cleaner vocals. I like that it has both USB and XLR, so I can start simple now but still have the option to expand later. Early days, but I think this is a great mic for anyone wanting better sound without jumping into super expensive gear.
