Is this shaving cream a solid block of soap or is it already mixed in to a shave cream in the pot?

Hi DavidThat's a great question. Our shave cream is a thick concentrated cream in the pot - it isn't solid like some shaving soaps are. When you whip it in to a lather before you shave you only need a very small amount on the end of a shaving brush or mixed in the palm of your hand because it expands in to a very soft moisturising creamy lather which helps your razor glide over your skin smoothly as it trims the hairs.Hope that helps - Jenny

Is the top of the jar a screw lid or a pop top (with non-screw ridges, for popping to top back om)?

Do you have to put the product in a shaving bowl before applying to a shaving brush or do you just dab the brush directly into the shaving cream?

You can do either, a hazelnut size in a bowl will whip up enough for 3 passes using a damp brush adding droplets of water to get the lather to the consistency you like. You can swirl the damp brush in the soap and face lather, slightly dipping the brush tips in water for each pass. You can dab some onto the face and use the damp brush to face lather. It all down to what you prefer. I use all 3 techniques depending on how I feel. Hope this helps T
