How To Crochet: A Complete Guide for Absolute Beginners

I have never attempted knitting or crochet before, and with the help of only this book I have learnt lots of different crochet stitches and how to make a variety of simple items. It goes through everything step by step with detailed diagrams to make it very clear for a beginner, and moves on to more complex stitches and methods in order to make actual items such as baby hats and decorative items. it has given me enough knowledge of crochet to be able to find patterns online for other items and follow those instructions using this book as reference for the actual stitches used

Bought for my granddaughter as she’s just started to crochet. Easy to follow instructions and helps that the pictures are clear.

This book really is for the complete beginner & will get you started. Has clear diagrams & instructions that you're able to follow, so good from that angle. and some nice little starter projects to have a go at. However, it is only 48 pages so I felt a bit cheated at paying £9.99!! I could have a much thicker book for £12.99 - so just be aware. Book itself is great, just NOT value fur the money.

perfect for beginners, will help new crochets to learn what each stitch is and how to do them and then how to create a pattern from the stitch they have learnt, it is perfect.

Straight forward and easy to understand and get going. To save book clutter I bought the kindle version which is nice and clear to view on the kindle app, in my case on an iPad, it also works fine on my Xiaomi phone app but is a little small. I've crocheted before so this was really just a refresher course.

I have looked at multiple beginner crochet books, including Michael's. This book is the easiest and most complete and at a respectable price. Great pictures, easy step by step instructions, variety of stitches, multiple patterns, explanation of yarns and needles, and breakdown of terminology. Highly recommend for teens to adults. If you are looking for just one book to get started to see if you like crocheting without a huge investment this is the book to get. If you are looking to expand or refresh your knowledge, I recommend this book as well.

Self taught myself crocet with this book. I still am a beginner but have finished a few projects, it is very easy to learn with good visuals! I still use it as a reference.

This book was easy to understand. I learnt how to crochet about 30+ years ago and this book was a great as it gave step by step instructions.
