Excellent Piece of Kit
I installed these on my Squier Deluxe Stratocaster. Though I haven't played it with them live and I don't do anything like swinging my guitar around by the strap these strap locks have been exceptional. The build quality is excellent, there was clearly no expense spared on these. Installation was a breeze, all you have to do is unscrew your old strap buttons and screw the new ones on. Stability has been excellent, the only complaint I have is that I can't fit my guitar into its case with the strap attached. However, that is a minor complaint and may not affect you depending on the shape of your guitar case.

Schaller Straplocks Chrome
These will give you all the confidence you will need for your guitar, not dropping to the floor that is, it wont improve your playing ability. The straplocks are well made and do work well. Unfortunately I have found with my strap, the part that you fasten to it, the thread is just a little too short to be able to use them, my strap being hand made and is a lot thicker than the standard ones, but these are great for any standard strap and they also come with 2 shorter screws and 2 longer screws for fitting to the body's of guitars where thicker screws have been used. A great product that I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to keep their prized guitar safe from hitting the deck.

Good quality but need Allen key to fit
Well packaged and well made, once fitted offer excellent security against guitar strap accidently slipping from the guitar. Fitting is reasonably straightforward provided you follow the instructions and have the right size Allen key. The screws were a little bigger than those I removed from my Shergold Masquerader so the existing holes needed easing. The inclusion of felt washers was a nice touch. I am prompted to comment on "sheerness", but I haven't got a clue as to what that means in this context so I'll simply suggest that this particular review prompt should be revised to something that makes more sense.

Perfect fit for Epiphone Les Paul Slash Edition and Levy’s MSS1 Strap
Great value for money and fitted in 5 minutes. My Epiphone Les Paul slash edition came with strap locks that were not threaded long enough to fit on my Levy’s MSS1 strap. These threads are a perfect length as you can see from the picture and much easier to fit than the Epiphone OEM versions. I like that they don’t protrude too far when fitted either. Quality is on par with the Epiphone strap locks, if not slightly better. The strap attach and release mechanism is far easier and more intuitive on the Schallers. The button screws are a direct swap. The screw is only slightly wider but required NO DRILLING and went in easy and snugly. Lengths were the same length as the Epiphone screws. I was concerned about the use of a 3mm hex screw type rather than Phillips, however the button hex screw hole is several mm deep and so there is no risk of it slipping out and rounding off the screw hole. On balance, this is much better than a standard Phillips head screw. I would recommend using a screw driver with a hex attachment though rather than your standard 3mm hex key. If you have an Epiphone Les Paul, do not hesitate to buy this product. You will NOT regret it.

Cheap insurance for your guitar
Since my guitar had an accident followed by an expensive visit to a luthier, strap-locks are a must on all of my guitars. These are excellent: they will attach your strap to the body of your guitar and will not let go unless you want them to. Detaching the strap (when you want to) is a breeze: a firm pull on the little knob and is slides right off. You will need a wrench to pinch the nut snugly against the guitar strap. A vice is also handy but not essential. One problem is that the nut which attaches the unit to the strap is inclined to come loose. This can end in exactly the disaster you are trying to avoid (which is why I have docked one star). For this reason, I like to put a bit of thread-locking compound on the strap fitting to encourage the nut to stay in place. This has worked well. I have read that other users will deliberately damage the thread that protrudes above the nut with a punch to help keep it there. If you have an electro-acoustic guitar where the output jack is integrated with the strap pin, you will need something different for the rear fitting. I like to use a Dunlop Straplok Ergo Lok for that and one of these Schallers for the front. All in all, these are well made, easy to fit and do the job they are intended to do very well.

A Quality Product From Deutchland
Bought these to put on my Fender Mustang bass as I like to use a strap but have noticed if I don't take the strap off after playing and just hang the bass the leather ends bend over time which could prove fatal. Anyhow bought these after doing some YouTube research and I have to say they are very impressive. The chrome coating looks very bright and durable and the parts are very heavy. A couple of observations. I hand to drill-out the pin screw holes on my bass because the original Fender pin screws are the same length but slightly narrower. I used a 3mm drill bit and found it very easy to bore-out the existing screw holes. Also these pins have quite a large diameter and most straps come with small pin holes. I hack to cut a bit of excess leather out of my strap to get the threaded lock nuts down close to the strap. No hardship and don't let it put you off buying this excellent product.

I have just installed Schaller S Locks to my new PRS. They look great. I have already installed to my Ibanez JS and my Charvel DK. These locks are super easy to fit, lock the strap solidly and have a real quality feel to them. I highly recommend the strap lock buttons.
