Great alternative to lego!
I bought these for my 4 year old son. If I'm honest I thought they maybe a bit babyish for him as hes really into lego (which I hate). However I thought for the small cost even if he didn't like them I could pass them off to some1 with a younger child. When my son opened them I showed him what to do. Within minutes he had taken all the orange and yellow ones and made a sunshine. Then green and pink to make a flower. I was so pleased that not only had he made something recognizable, he chose colours, you his motor skills and had fun! He then went onto make all sorts of things. Ok so his tractor didn't look exactly like a tractor but this was a fab find for my son. Would really recommend.

Good value and sturdy
I saw these and thought they might be something my 6 year old would like but the 2.5 year old could join in with. They are really sturdy plastic pieces, don't bend and would take something tough to break these .I love the bright colours reminds me of the 90s when everything was florescent colours. The instructions on things to build were alittle confusing (maybe its me!) I loved the idea you can go rogue and just see what happens then call it out later. We winged it and made our own stuff. I made a very camp he-man sword because thats how I roll, my son made a mine craft sword so its really good for getting the imagination flowing.

Good basic and educational toy
As with a lot of things re-bought nowadays, the plastic seemed of a lesser quality than it used to be, hence 4 stars instead of 5. However, I still think it worth buying.Bought for a 10 month old because there is so little out there for this age group apart from shakers, stacking rings and all the usual things baby already has. but needed something a bit different yet with no small bits.Baby likes to try to hold a couple of the octons at once, and hand them to me to make something... Baby has started to touch an octon on to the structure where baby wants it put... I can see baby is learning from this toy... how smaller shapes can be put together to build something bigger for example. Good for colour naming too. They would also be good for posting into a slot because of the flat shape of the octons. These 'First Octons' are of a different and less brittle plastic from the transparent octons for older children, so make sure you get the right ones.

Shame about the condition of the box as this was meant to be a gift and doesn’t look great
The actual pieces inside the box are fine however the box is clearly damaged. I would not have purchased this if I’d seen it like this in a shop. Disappointing as brought this for a birthday gift for a friend.

One pack is not enough!
As the title suggests one pack is not enough as building with these is both addictive and competitive (amongst adults).Based on other reviews, I purchased these for my nearly 3 year old son and he is really enjoying learning to connect them together. he has to concentrate to slot them together and sometimes it doesn't work first time, but with practise he is getting there. They are bright and colourful, feel durable and long lasting.Overall a good product which encorages imagination and concentration - just what I bought it for. A second pack is on my sons birthday list.

Great toy for toddlers
It is a very bright and colourful toy with no sharp edges, hence perfect for toddlers. You can make various shapes using the discs - we made a bee, some flowers, a crown, a car and even a dog.. I am sure over the weeks we will make a few more shapes:-) I think it is a perfect toy for building your child's imagination. Even the price we paid was good.. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Actually better than I expected :)
I guess it just depends on what your kids prefer. I bought this one for my 21 month old boy. He loves shapes like this, loves to pick them up and hold in the hand, transfer from hand to hand, from place to place, insert them where they fit ;) I didnt have illusions that he's start connecting them right away, he's a bit young for that, but I can imagine that time will come. Great creativity toy, endless possibilities of playing with it.My biggest concern was the size of it and wether pieces are too small and therefore a choking hazard for small ones - but since they are 5,5 cm in diameter, I would pronounce them safe ;) They are made from tough plastic and in 6 bright colors (small objection: two colors are almost same shade, like light orange and darker orange). I don't know how safe they are to chew on though. But since recomended age is from 3 years on, you have to be a bit careful after all ;)
