Big Time Saver
Really made a difference to my small 'workshop'. In the past using the thicknesser has meant lots of trips emptying the vacuum and often cleaning out the clogged filter where it has got over full. Thing of the past! The filter in the bucket generally cleans enough by giving the lid a tap or two while the filter in the vacuum remains clear giving maximum suction. The clear sides of the bucket allow you to see how full it is without having to open it up. The lid has a good seal on it and the capacity is very useful. You may still have to sort out connections to different size dust collectors on your tools but that is not any fault of the bucket. There are such variations out there on different tools and different makes, a kit with the bucket does not make sense. My only niggle is that the short hose that is supposed to connect the bucket to your vacuum cleaner was a little too short, especially since mine is also a Triton! However, I managed to get round that leaving the longer hose and my vacuum's original hose to give me two separate connections. The sliding controls to open and close the two ports the bucket gives you are a little fiddly at times but I think this is just where I need to get used to them. It took me a little while to get everything set up (mainly connections) the way I want it but it has really paid off. Very happy with the product and even happier with the difference to the functionality of the workshop.

5 stars although it needs some "tweaks" and a very cheap disposable ecological/biodegradable filter
I will give it five stars, although there are some flaws with the design and quality in some of the materials. For this price, it's not worth wasting your time in building a DIY dust collection bucket!1). One of the connectors (black with red interior) has developed a crack after a few days. Probably it had a hidden manufacturing flaw.2). The filter is becoming clogged too fast, but it has a very good filtration capacity even for fine powders. You can easily remove it and wash it with warm water. I'm working on a custom made disposable ecological/biodegradable filter (it will be very cheap!) and hopefully it will be on the market in a couple of months.3). The stability of the bucket is not the best (to say the least) if you are moving around with the tools attached. The solution for this is: a 6 quid trolley (it's called Diall Trolley/Plant Pot Mover and you can find it at B&Q) + a 3 quid Halfords Luggage Elastic.4). The price should be lower, around 30 quid and I can guarantee you that this would be called a "killer deal".5). My recommendation would be to use this dust collection bucket with a professional vacuum cleaner. You cannot go wrong with a Shop-Vac wet/dry vacuum cleaner! Don't waste your money on other more expensive brands because Shop-Vac has one of the most powerful suction (for ONE motor) I've seen so far and they are honest about the Air Watts too...6). Would I choose an ULTRA PORTABLE Cyclone Dust Collection solution over this one? No, because you cannot attach a disposable filter to capture very small particles and still be able to move it around the whole day. Remember, this product was designed with mobility in mind!

good but fiddly
the bucket itself is fine but gets top heavy when hooked up to a shop vac and power tool, no biggy as i just popped a brick in the bottom of the bucket and that problem was fixed. the real downside is the hose attachments though as the fittings that attach it to the bucket are a real pain to fit and then have a habit of working loose and popping off. i have glued mine to stop the meltdowns and endless foul language out bursts but that means i am stuck should the hose get damaged (anyone with a 3d printer would be fine i guess). the real purpose of the bucket is what it is very good at though, the large chippings settle at the bottom prolonging the life of your shop vac and its filter so its worth a punt for that alone

Will not seal
Crap lid does not seal so will not suck. Mite as well get a dustpan and brush and use it for a bin. Very disappointed

Dust free
The best thing I've bought for my small workshop, wish I had bought one years ago, great bit of kit, I used to switch my hover on and dust would fly everywhere, but not any more since I bought this, works greatand the filter does a great job,you need a bit of patience putting the pipes together, but other than that it pleasure to use , would recommend buy an extra length of pipe, so you can reach a bit further around to clean up.

Saves vacuum bags, but could better, and should be cheaper!!
This little bucket works a treat, but it does have its downfalls! The filter does need cleaning often, especially if you’re using it on a sander. Put it’s no big deal. The suction is great, and it really does keep my vacuum cleaner bags empty. The hoses are pretty pointless. The screw on heads don’t fit the hose easily, however they fit perfectly on a Henry hose. The hoses are also very stiff and I find I’m tipping the bucket often because of the lack of flexibility. I would suggests getting hold of some Henry hoses if you buy this bucket, as I said the connectors fit more easily and they are far more flexible, and also build a cabinet for the bucket and vacuum...helps a tonne!! All in all I’m very happy with the product and I intend to buy another for a router table I’m building, even though I think the price is a little high!!

Works very well
bought this and though it is a bit pricey which it kinda is, - it is a bucket with a couple of bits of vacuum hose and a few vacuum hose adaptors. probably nothing you can't make yourself out of a big paint can and some mastic. But for some people who do not have the time and inclination to do EVERYTHING themselves this is a good working solution. I used it on coarse material like extracting the wood shavings from a planer as well as collecting the sanding dust from an orbital and sheet sander, and it works well, the vacuum connected to it has not clogged up as it did when I used it on the sander without this contraption.
