Scottish Oak Whisky Half Barrel Planter Wooden Whiskey/Container Garden Pot Tub

Sturdy, sizeable half-barrel, bought for creating a mini pond. Does the trick very well! No leakage at all. Rather heavy and therefore a bit difficult to manoeuvre, but that's the flip side of the item's sturdiness. I hope the metal rings round the barrel won't decay, immersed as they now are in the garden soil. Time will tell.If you wanted to use it as a planter, you'd have to ask for drainage holes to be put in (if they do that), or drill those in yourself.Delivery was super fast: it arrived a few days before it was due, and without any notification that it was on its way. Am glad I was at home...

Could not fault,large,heavy. Painted the strips of metal with hammerite paint,look really good.

I love this barrel. It is quite heavy and I had to roll it through my garage into the back garden, but I did expect this. Knowing that once it was filled with soil it would be impossible for me to move, I fitted 4 heavyweight castors to the base on wooden blocks. Now it can be easily moved around the garden and the wheels locked to keep it in place.I also want to say a big thank you to the vendor, who having been let down by a national courier company, arranged for it to be delivered to me by an independent delivery service on a Sunday. Terrific service.

Heavy but vary good

The item arrived quickly and exactly as expected from the listing details. It looks fantastic and will I’m sure be very nice to look at when planted. No complaints whatsoever. I would recommend!

These barrels are a very good heavy garden container for me. I have had pots stolen from my garden before, I don't think these will disappear as they are very heavy. Love them, hope to buy some more.

A good size and well constructed.There's a single hole in the base for drainage so you'll need some matting or membrane to stop the soil leaching through. The wood and the banding are in good condition, though depending on your garden style you may want to give them a coat of wood preservative.Much more preferable than the plastic alternatives !

Haven't planted yet but in position ready, looks great, will be a success, excellent for all manner of planting, as I'm not as able to access the ground easily the height of these make it a sinch to plant and maintain, got one last year and raised 3 Dahlias in it, very successfully, a big plus for my garden.
