Klark Teknik MIC BOOSTER CM-2 2 Channel Dynamic Microphone Booster with Preamps

I've been using Cloudlifters for quite some time. I consider them the best in the industry still. Great sound and fantastic build quality. But they are expensive. The dual mic model is $250 and I can't afford $500 for my portable set up. I'm so happy to find these Klark. I thought there must be something wrong that they're only $50 for the 2 mic model. I'm so happy with my purchase. First, they are tiny compared to my cloud lifter...about 1/2 the price. I've used the with the Shure sm-7 , rode mic, and r20...absolutely no issues. Similar gain to the cloud lifter. No perceivable coloration. They are extremely well made, solid metal casing. Almost as good as the cloud lifter. For 1/5 the price, I grabbed 2 more.

Sí lo recomiendo, buen sonido, limpio y fuerte. Uso un SHURE SM58 y al ser dinámico no se escuchaba fuerte, le faltaba potencia, este amplificador para micrófono era lo que necesitaba, reduce el ruido y mejora el volumen, lo que promete es lo que te da, excelente, volveré a comprar otro igual.

I kept going back and forth on whether I should order this or the cloudlifter and I am so glad I did not fall for the cloudlifter scam! For less than half the price you get two amp boosters for the price of a single cloudlifter. I have been using this for my Shure SM7B and it works wonders. I totally recommend buying this and putting the saved money into a better microphone or interface!

This lets me plug in two low output dynamic mics to my interface without worrying about having enough gain and gain adjustment. The sound is excellent. However there's an issue with EMF interference, especially from nearby cell phones, as it doesn't appear to be shielded well. Since it is in a metal box, and even though the box is ungrounded, it should be a fairly effective EMF shield against RF. So it could be an issue within the design of the circuit itself. I don't know if the CloudLifter brand booster has better protection against EMF from a cell phones, but cell phones need to be kept away from this product to get clean sound. Overall I think its a solid 4 star product.
