Works in the UK
This Fritz router will work in the UK, but it only includes a two pin EU plug so you will need an adapter to use it - on start up, instructions are in German only, no option to select other languages so be careful. I already have an existing Fritz box so it wasn't that difficult to get it up and running. Once connected, you can do an Fritz OS update, latest version does have English as an option. Router is also 2.4Ghz only. It is also Mesh compatible with other Fritz router - so this can be used as a repeater for your main Fritz router. A cheap way to have a Mesh home network. I have seen this router for sale at under £40 and at that price, it's a bargain. One other thing, the cable that connects from your phone socket to the router is not standard, the DSL end is slightly larger than the phone socket end, so you may need to source an alternative cable for this. An RJ45 to RJ11 cable should do the trick, they can be picked on Amazon for a few quid.

Amazon supplied the wrong machine for the UK!
Mine was bought from Amazon. I have previous experience of Fritzboxes and have found them to be generally good with excellent capabilities. My first Fritzbox died after 5 years, giving spurious disconnects. The second died after only 3 years, when it reset itself whilst it was applying a firmware update. This purchase was to replace the second machine. However, what arrived from Amazon (to a UK address) was an Annex B protocol machine, complete with German telephone lead and German-style mains adaptor. This is entirely unsuitable for the UK (which requires Annex A) and so the router had to be returned.

German Product. Cables no use for UK.
Amazon are shipping the German version of this. None of the cables are suitable for UK use. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Unreliable, low quality product. Avoid at all cost!
In the last 3 years, I had to replace Fritzbox 7430 two times due to unstable Internet connection. At first, it works well and I was pleased to find many useful features. However, after around a year, it started dropping DSL connection even when the physical line itself is healthy. Once, I was disconnected for over a week while testing all telephone lines. Total waste of time and money. The DSL connection was made again immediately after changing to a new Fritzbox.Fritzbox is a low-quality, poorly engineered cheap product that you must avoid at all cost.Shame on their low quality, incapable engineers. In my humble opinion, the company should dissolve for the same of humanity.
