Effective and value for money
Purchased this to help lift and position 140cm x 75cm panes of 4mm tempered glass for a greenhouse refurbishment. The grip on the glass was excellent allowing me to support and fix vertical panes of glass working on my own. The handle is plastic but feels robust and is comfortable to grip and the levers to apply/release suction feel firm but are easy to use. Like all suction devices, the surface has to be clean and flat to get an effective seal. Releasing the suction was also straightforward (if it doesn’t release, just twist the handle slightly to break the seal). Not tested this on anything approaching the maximum rated weight, but the greenhouse panes are larger than most of the window panes in my property, so I think it will be fine for anything I’m likely to need it for around the home. Made an awkward job much easier and safer and, at the price I paid, represents good value for money.

These are stupidly strong.
Bought for a DIY tiling job with some 800*800 tiles which are fairly weighty. These are a must! Incredibly easy to use. This suction handle makes moving them a breeze. Once attached, it doesn’t move an inch. I think the tile will snap before I can physically pull the suction cup off then. Very impressive

Incredible Holding Power!
It's principally made of plastic and the suckers didn't look like much, but I thought to test it I would do what most men would probably want to do - I attached it to the ceiling and tried to hang from it. I weight about 9.5st - not much. I'm quite a slight bloke, and it managed to support my entire weight clean off the floor. Strong enough for the job with powerful suction. Works nicely. ** UPDATE ** It's 2020, and I still use it. The marks on the ceiling from my experiment remain.

Very good for the price!
For the money I was a little bit sceptical of the quality of these items. These were being purchased for a set that had been well used for nearly 25yrs that had been given to me while working for a national windscreen replacement company, so any replacements had a lot to live up to. In short these are great for the money! No they don’t have alloy grips, but what would you expect for a sub £10 product? The plastic mouldings are of good quality & strong, the rubber suction ads are the right quality, not too soft, and definitely not hard & plasticky like a lot of budget products. Each grip is rated for 70kg which I don’t doubt, I attached 2 grips to the tiles in bathroom and was able to hang off them (I’m around 85kg) without even the remotest implication of slipping or coming away - Not the most scientific experiment, but if they can hold my fat ass up, they’ll work for your sheets of glass etc!

Worked perfectly on my kitchen kickboards
Recently, I have been trying to track down a potential plumbing issue in the house and I wanted to check out the water pipes running underneath the units in the kitchen. We had a fitted kitchen installed about 6 years ago and I had never given any thought to how to access anything under the units. When I came to remove the painted wood kickboards, I realised that they fitted perfectly - too perfectly as there was no room to get something in to 'lever' them out without causing damage. A few google searches for 'Kickboard Removal' and I started looking for 'suction tool' on Amazon. I didn't want to spend a lot on something that will not be used very often but at the same time if it wasn't any good then I would be wasting my money. After reading some reviews, I settled on the Silverline 675088 as it was available on Prime and arrived the next day. At first, I couldn't get the suckers to stick. I gave the kickboards a really good clean, then dampened both the kickboards and suction pads slightly with a wet cloth and finally pushed the tool really firmly against the kickboard before operating the levers. Eureka! It stuck like glue and I had pulled off the kickboards is seconds. I even managed to walk around the house with it for about 10 minutes before the suction gave up although I suspect it would have lasted much longer if it had been stuck to something like glass. All in all, problem solved for a little over £6 with no damage to the kickboards. I have a feeling it will come in handy in future as well.

Excellent product
This suction cup unit performed better than expected in removing and handling lots of sizeable glass units when decommissioning a greenhouse. Very strong and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Did the job
Did the job of nudging up a gap in my laminate flooring. I struggled to use a rubber hammer to knock it along had to use a peice of wood to help me do that hence the 4*
