Great addition
I bought my original unit at Walmart and it didn't come with this attachment although it has the port. I wasn't sure it would work when I purchased, but it has been great and allows me to utilize the Ziploc style storage bags. It was worth what I paid for it and cuts my costs on storage containers and space once sealed.

fit my old style food saver perfectly. does exactly the job with the reusable bags it was designed to do.

Pleasantly surprised
I was not expecting this item to work with my foodsaver machine. I mistakenly bought foodsaver reusable bags that you can suction the air out of. I read the description of the product and it said not comparable with my foodsaver. I was ready to return it but decided to try it out. It works perfectly and is easy to connect and remove. I have a VSO150.

Waste of money, did not work on FlavorSaver nor Ziploc sealers

Works great for my old school Food Saver
This tube worked perfectly for my older machine. Reading through different reviews i learned there is a style that does an oval hole and one that fits a round hole. I opted for the round shape and it works as well as the original tube.

Useful but might not last long
I was given an older simpler model that didn't have this part. So it's good to have this, however I thick the handheld model is better.

Does not fit everyone, especially Anova food saver units
If you have Anova food vacuum unit, stop here and make sure to check to see if you have a vacuum port accessory hose that came with the unit. Otherwise, don't purchase this unless you purchase a separate port accessory hose in addition to this. The Anova's vacuum port depth is deeper than the FoodSaver by 1 cm.If you have FoodSaver vacuum sealer, you're good to go.Once you purchased this unit, you can use the original Anova's port accessory plug with the plastic house and sealer housing on resuable bags (my wife's Zwilling), containers (also from Zwilling and may other manufacturers), vacuum cans, and strangely enough, some one time use bags that I tend to get for coffee beans. As long as the vacuum port is less than 1-inch, it'll work in getting all the air out. The seal around the cup is perfect to obtain that airtight fitting for your vacuum to work its magic.

Good addition
This accessory allows the use of the vacuum pump on other things (wine bottles). Might not use it a lot, but nice to have.
