I'm a Big Sister

Both my daughter and I love this book. I bought it when I was expecting my second child, and this book helped prepare my daughter for her little brothers coming. It is well written, beautifully illustrated, and most of all, prepares both the older sister and the parents for the new arrival. The book does not only talk about the baby, but also talks a lot about the Big Sister, making her feel special too. At the back of the book, there is a message for the parents on how to make the older child feel special and help avoid unnecessary sibling rivalry. I really think it helped my daughter prepare for her younger brothers arrival and understand what to expect from babies. Excellent and necessary purchase!

Lovely book for a new big sister.

Perfect gift for an older sister on birth of her sister.

We bought this months before the arrival of our new baby. I think this was an excellent book to prepare our daughter, who loved reading the story. When we read this first page, "Someone new is at our house. Do you know who it is?" She would shout, "Baby!" This book is about a family (Mum, Dad and one child - a girl), which I liked as it mirrored our current situation. I bought other books and was a bit annoyed because I didn't realise that the story was about two children, a dog etc... Although, those books convey the same message (that a new baby is on it's way) this wasn't our exact situation, which I thought was needed as she was so young. The only reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 is because the mum bottle feeds her new baby rather than breastfeeds. I had to rely on another book to cover that point.

Fantastic book that advises young children how they can help their parents look after their younger siblings. I bought for my almost 3 year old daughter and she is very interested in the content, we read the book to her a few months before the baby was born. I sub the word 'diaper' for nappy. Highly recommend

The book has lovely illustrations but the story uses American words, like Mommy and diaper rather than Mummy or nappy. I won't be passing on to my Grand-daughter I'm afraid.

Ingifted this to my niece as she is gng to be a big sister now and she has read this book on repeat . It is a good book to get them ready about new baby incoming habits and changes

I’ve read this book to my daughter every single day for the past 3 months, she loves it. It has a nice story to prepare the toddler for receiving a sibling.
